Hi, just thought I'd leave you a message. I have attached a video of when I went on when I was younger. I was about 12 or 13 years old and I enjoyed doing it. I really wish they still did it as I would love to give it another go with my friends. This was enjoyable to watch as well. I think you all did well :)
I did this, too. The dialogue was similar, but I was on my own (my girlfrend turned chicken) so slightly different footage was used. I came across rather like David Hunter, a character from Crossroads in the 70s and 80s. I wouldn't be brave enough to broadcast it on YouTube. You folks certainly came across better than I did!!
Of course it was doctored, it was a tourist attraction..... We filmed our bit in a video booth, then it was superimposed onto a pre-recorded clip which countless other people would have appeared in also. Possibly somewhere out there there is another video of this starring different members of the public, would be great to see...!!!
OBSERVATION: Also in the back yard there is only a few feet between their back door and the wall of the Rovers on the Barlows side. But in the pub there is the width of the bar area plus their small hallway in width till you get to their back door.
Where has all this width disappeared to when out the back yard?
OBSERVATION: Has anyone noticed that the door of the Rovers is right up to the right hand side wall and there is an alleyway between the pub and the Barlows house, which goes through to the back where the smokers shelter is now. When in the Rovers, the toilet doors and cellar door are in this right side wall.
Were the toilets built accross the alley into the Barlows downstairs room?
Yes allright allright dont get to excited about it u r not the only one to notice. U just have to put it down to it being a soap- the pub used to have three bars in many years ago and there wasnt any room for them realistically
You guys did a great job with that. I live in the US and im jealous ( id love to do a scene with Ena Sharples) I heard they dont do these things anymore, is that true? (re: kealey's comment... i agree, son of eddie yates would be super!)these things should be longer considering what you pay.
Hi, thanks for your comments.Yes they closed it down a few years ago but it was a real laugh doing it. Kealey is actually one of the girls there with me. Cant believe how long ago that was!!!!!
This is fantastic.... Modern technology and all that, how did they do it????...The bloke has got a real authentic northern accent,,, why o why did they not hire him as the son of Eddie Yeats!!! encore, encore

This is great. I always wanted to appear with Amos in The Woolpack in the 1980s. But Yorkshire TV didn't do anything like this!

I've seen far far worse than this on the show for real so you aint too bad. You also get the proper credits, unlike the real cast.

Like I said, when the video was made, we just did our bit then they put our names up in the credits which they'd already made, complete with picture.

Where did u get the picture at the end credits from??
jnb432 3 years ago
It was the old original picture from the show they used when we had the video made.
