There are Whites from various walks of life that took up slaves, so it's very likely that someone somewhere down the line from your fold had them as well. And again, the South was not the only part of the country with Slaves, but they had the majority.
Not all Blacks in America are a result of slavery either. There are many twists and turns to that.
