  • Look at this youtube.com/watch?v=qkp2GlnlCXw

  • I was walking down an alley the other day, and I saw a trashcan with a record cover sticking out. Turns out it was Elvis Golden Records! Grabbed it out, slapped it into my vinyl record player. Not a scratch on it. I was so happy. Great day.

  • if I could click "like" fifty thousand times, that would not show what this track means to me, love you elvis xxxx

  • Ooooohhhh, that velvet voice...that beautiful face, that sheer sexiness--still potent magic after 50+ years!!

  • Did this come out before or after The Ink Spots'?

  • @SwingStu Wayyyy after. At least 10 years.

  • What a voice!!!!!. Long live the King Elvis.

  • Memories, I was only 13 when this came out and didn't know what love was, but his songs made me want to know.

  • I flipped hound dog when this came out and I was a fan foreve the best he did till Dont

  • Saddest song I ever heard! Elvis delivers it perfectly! But then I would not expect anything less from Elvis. There is so much feeling in his music and especially in this song.

  • One of my very favourite Elvis records , his diction is fantastic and the record production is outstanding.

One curious point however is that it reminds a bit ofan English song by Gracie Fields called "Sally in our Alley"!!

  • @themoonspinners in what way ???

  • the king always will be knowone will ever come close never xxxxxx

  • This song has a completely 50's feel to it !!

  • Elvis is just awesome. He's the reason I wish I lived in the 50's-60's era.

  • Elvis singes this song perfectly. He is the King!

  • The King.......

  • I used to listen to this on my little Mickey Mouse record player. I haven't heard it since, and I have a lot of his music. It was nice to finally hear it again.

  • Elvis' Golden Records album is the best.

  • Thank you so much, Jackiej61too, for these wonderful songs. There will just never ever be another as great as Elvis Presley....EVER!!!

  • This song was in my first ever LP of Elvis which I was given when I was six and it´s so nice to listen to it again .Thankyou!

  • This is great the man.ELVIS P. G.D.

  • topper ELVIS I LOVE U 4EVER

  • que voz dios mio!!!!! un enorme el rey!!!!!!

  • ELVIS is one of a kind

  • Ive always believed that ,sun records and RCA got a lot of A sides , B sides , the wrong way round !!

  • RIP Elvis. We know where you are and who you are with....the one you adored and loved here on earth.

  • if elvis didn't get into the movies and continued his fifties career, i wouldn't think he would get into a mess he had in the 70's..and elvis would just be elvis..no jumpsuits..no shades...just him:)

  • Great video! I remember Elvis in his early years. He was a totally different Elvis then than the the Elvis in the 70's who was pushed beyond his limits. He was torn between the love for his fans, and the relentless schedule the Colonel imposed upon him, which ruined his health. It's too bad he didn't retire when he was young and in good health. When you compare the early jam session video of "Thats alright Mama", and his latter appearances, you can see what I mean. He is missed.

  • This is the Elvis I remember from my teenage days. He was an incedible sensation as a singer.

  • Early Elvis sound thanks for posting!

  • I know isn't it wonderfull hearing Elvis sing these songs.

  • ELVIS was one of a kind his music will be with us forever!

  • In my opinion Elvis did his best work before he joined the army. It just wasn't the same afterwards. Perhaps both of us grew up a bit. Wish he was still with us.

  • I can't believe this has only gotten several thousand hits since last Dec. Wonderful song.

  • The single had a 7-week stay on Billboards Top 100 chart, peaking at #58. It was the B-side to All Shook Up.'All shook up' was #1 on Billboard Top 20 Pop Singles,Top 20 Country Singles and Top 20 R&B Singles.

  • très belle chanson, quelle voix !!

  • Songs like this and "Any way you want me", "Love me Tender" "Love me Tender"

"Loving You" showd way back then that he could sing as well as Sinatra, Bennent ect. but no one wanted to admit it.

  • Just beautiful!

There is only one king of music...hes' right here:) Love you Elvis!!!

  • nham a five stare version

  • this is a great song.... especially the spoken part gives me the chills.... wonderful...!!!

  • lol he cracks up at 2:28 but he's still cool

  • Love Elvis ForeVer

  • This song is just excellent and Elvis' voice is perfect!!

  • welcome to the church of elvis, where all are loved!

  • Beautifully done Jackie!

  • Excellent Version.

    5 *****

  • This has always been one of my most favorite songs that Elvis ever recorded. Elvis easily has the very best rendition of this song. Elvis had a voice like no other. Elvis would be extremely proud of you. You're a true Elvis fan and you make such perfect Elvis videos each and every time, 10 Stars as always Jackie.

  • This version is available on The 50 Greatest Love Songs, Elvis Golden Records, and The King of Rock n Roll-The Complete 50s Masters, which is where this version is from.

  • Written by William J. Raskin, Billy Hill, and Fred Fisher. Elvis recorded it January 13, 1957 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. Take #7 was selected by RCA for release. The single had a 7-week stay on Billboards Top 100 chart, peaking at #58. It was the B-side to All Shook Up. Elvis also recorded this song on January 4, 1954 at Sun Records when he recorded his first acetate, My Happiness

  • @Jackiej61too Great information. Radio Recorders?? I wonder if Thornie Nogar recorded and mixed this. This is one of his best IMO because of his phrasing and the candidly pure Elvis dialogue. The vocalism at 2:53 in is something I remember listening for on the AM transistor or the vinyl '45. ....yes, that many years ago.
