  • I use to say that 8 strings was enough. Then I got an 8 string and said, "...maybe 9 strings isn't too unreasonable..." Haha!

  • IS DAT A 9 STRING?!

  • Fucking awesome dudes. I loved that!

  • PDP = Pretty damn precious?

  • I'm going to assume for the sake of my sanity that the 9 either has an alternate tuning that makes 9 strings practical or just has one higher. Because a low B or C# would just... be... well... too much to handle. Admiral Angry tunes to drop D (an octave below regular drop-d), and that's almost too much.

  • @FakeSidewalks NOpe, its C#

  • !!! kick ass !!! \m/

  • Hey nice stuff guys! It is awesome! Check my channel for some metal too! Cheers!

  • haha, so sick u guys!

  • vittu tää on perseest

  • Amazing! It sounds really good guys! Check my channel for some metal! Cheers!

  • Meshuggah rip off?

  • that mapleboard is to die for. insane.

  • why so angry?

  • Holy shit a nine string

  • Hang on.. Were your guitarists at Mayhem Fest this year on music school stall?

  • @cazzer13 yeah. he teaches shred guitar at musicians institute in hollywood, ca

  • I meant "As I Am" from Dream Theater, not glass prison :p

  • The most of the song sounds like meshuggah, the break sounds like Dream Theater (somehow reminds me of The glass prison). Awesome mix!

  • BADASS song! PDP is fucking awesome!

  • 9...STRINGS...

  • granted, bands in this genre will sound somewhat like meshuggah, because meshuggah has been making this type of music for years and years and years. but come on. if this wasnt a video of PDP and it was labeled under meshuggah, no one would know the difference.

  • @aPOTg c'mon.... riffing style is similar but noticeably different if you know meshuggah well... or as well as i do anyway

  • @migueldahlstrom well i cant say im a meshuggah expert, as ive only been listening to them a couple of years. but as an avid explorer of music ( i listen to more genres of music than most people even know exist) and a guitar player i have a good ear. and honestly, this song really is fucking awesome. but, its a dead ringer to meshuggah in my ears.

  • @aPOTg i get what you mean, but have you heard any other songs by pdp? i've heard a couple others and to me this is the one that sounds the most like meshuggah

i've been listening to mesh since 2001 so i KNOW their sound. also, i play guitar and drums and have ventured into meshuggah's musical trip a bit more than the average guy to notice some non-obvious differences between pdp and mesh, they sound alike, but not enough to get them confused. listen to others by pdp and let me know… cheers

  • @aPOTg oh yeah.... this didn't fit into my last post, but here goes.... want to hear a distinct difference between the bands? pay attention to the drums... which are very fucking good.... but are different in style

  • yo PDP, any news on the album?

i'm dying to hear more stuff, let the fans know what's up

  • @migueldahlstrom hey bud, its out now on itunes, link is in the description!

  • @pdpband hey dude, i'm looking forward to buying the album. but I hate facebook (complaint department IMO) and would be stoked to hear you guys live. But there's nothing for a decent metal scene in Maine. Maybe you guys could liven it up? Sounds fucking KILLER!

  • @djinn314 Yeah, come to Maine! I'll come see you.

  • Someone likes Meshuggah

  • stop comparing it to Meshuggah, they have completly different sound and the taste for speed...

    this is f*cking brooooootal

  • @LostFaithSunja no doubt its brutal, i love this song.... but the rythm guitars and the way they click with the drums is so meshuggah... i think this just goes to show that meshuggah really paved the road for bands like this (and other bands that have a similar outtake on music) of couse pdp has very much their own sound, the meshuggah guys tend to not shred as much as mr, harrison here.... keep up the good work, out of the three pdp songs i've heard three of them were awesome... need album soon

  • man i can't understand............ you play live with other vocalist?

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, Meshuggah as fuck. I think it's mostly in the vocals though. They've got a different, unique groove to them for whatever reason. Maybe I'm just pretentious haha.

    0:28 gave me creamy jeans..

  • Little bit too Meshuggah, but well written and produced. :)

  • whats the guitar with the blonde finish?

  • @Nickiefive

Hey fellas, you gear/guitar questions can be answered in their Mass Delusion interview video, check their channel.

    Rock on!

  • @Nickiefive it's an Agile prototype, which is now know as an Agile Interpid with a 30" scale neck

  • who knows what tuning the bass is in im guessing B E A D G or A D G C F but idk???

  • this new singer for them (the guitarist) i think is better then there other singer

  • Hell yeah. Way heavy.

  • yeah well I dont remember fredrik thordendal using a fucking 9 string.... p.d.p. is actually pretty sick first song ive heard

  • @wbub4sion haha, yea, and greg's getting a 10 string, freaking insane, huh

  • The song was good, but it sounded too much like Meshuggah imo, which can be a bad thing for a lot of Meshuggah fans.

  • Woah , If i didn't know I would say that this is Meshuggah

  • nice to hear a drum track that actually sounds like a real drum track(with some very nice playing).

  • Greg, you sing like an angel ;-)

  • Man that Black 9 string is hot. Nice track too

  • @twiztedchild666 That's an 8 string.

  • @TheDeathMetalNinja AH so you are correct lol. Still awesome looking.
