Pulse is way better. The vehicles have better handling, the graphics are slightly improved, the race tracks are more exciting and diverse, the campaign is much longer, there's more variety in game types as well to mix things up, and it brings you along better skill-wise for the advanced difficulties.

It's also got an online vs mode, but I doubt there's anybody still on it. The single player is def worth it though imo.

I agree, the tracks in pulse were way too small, and is nearly imposible on phantom. pulse also has cannons, my favorite weapon. I played the demo and fell in love with it

@pandasamuraiLP This is PSP. They have this for PS2 but it's pal only though. You can play it on an NTSC ps2 with a few simple mods if you live in an NTSC region though.

Pulse and Pureare such great games, especially because of the downloadable content! The one thing I don't like is the settings for tracks. I miss tha dark setting of Talons Reach in WipEout 2097 and the red sky from another level in 2097

I have both games. Pulse is a little better, I feel, but really there is hardly any difference. Both are fantastic racing games, with wonderful graphics. The framerate on both is tremendous.

Wipeout Pure, Burnout Legends, Ridge Racer, Midnight Club La Remix, NFS Carbon (really recommend against nfs carbon on psp)

i have this game and i like it very much but when you are going on such narrow tracks on such high speed it is very VERY hard to turn i even use the wind brakes and stuff but it is very difficult

I Dont know... i just love fast paced games, but I rather much more the F zero X than this one, i get so frustrated with the gameplay of this game.. the ship is kinda "heavy" and its easy to drive like a drunk bitch in this game, f zero series keeps the good handling with an accelerator propulsion system that is just awesome to use in close turns.. still i`ll give another shot to this someday.. nice video though, I cant drive like u spining and rolling hahha

wipeout pure got so much better when i downloaded the music packs for it! this was a long time ago but listening to the good old wipeout tunes on Pure was awesome! best game i have for PSP and still waiting for something to beat it!

yes F-zero is a slow and repeatitive futuristic racer and i would much prefer any wipeout over any f-zero. Wipeouts are the most fast and addicting racers of all time. nice vid, 5/5
