@piratelord99 our average mark up is about 25% on almost all items these days. for example if somehting retails for $50. wholesale is usually about half which is $25
which is what we normally sell for nowadays. and we get an additional 25% off the $25. years ago sotres could make double on what they sell, now on the internet because of more competiion we are lucky to make 25% and many itmes even less than 25%..so by the time you pay overhead the profit is not huge, that is why we need to
@rickmartis1 Continued that is why we need to sell in large volume to make any money at all. in businesses like this tehse days if you can net out 10% you are doing very very well..i dont mind getting personal and giving out this info, we have nothing to hide and i think it helps guys realize we dont make as much as you think we do, it is alot of work to make it all worth it and make a living but i do it cause i enjoy it and enjoy helping people and if you can make a living at that
I think you didn't talk about flavors ...... Bought a NOWfoods protein and got tricked from a website that had the same "supplement facts " for flavoured protein and regular one. Actually the composition changes very much when they add flavour.
@SIEMDUNK it can change by a gram or 2 from flavorings but it is not much. Vanilla flavoring takes as much volume as Choc flavorings, it fyou go with a Natural or no flavor then you will get a gram or 2 less flavorings in the product
I'm thinking that I'd rather take egg protein. Does GNC carry a good brand? Is it high in cholesterol or anything else that I should watch? Thanks this vid is extremely helpful.
Hey Rick, any comment or advice on the Consumer Reports review of protein drinks and powders that resulted in the finding that some of the top brands contained heavy metals like mercury, arsenic and cadmium? It's scary... I've been using the Pure WPI from your shop, but have used other brands in the past. What do you think?
@bwanabass yes like i said in the video, this is exactly what i am talking about.. the big companies use cheap crap to maximize profits because of endorsements and big overhead so this is a perfect example as to why the bigger the company the more junk they try to use...Bioplex is not one of them it is top shelf; they put their money in good protein and not on big ads and overhead
Im taking EAS 100% Whey Protein. I can get it at Sam's Club for right around 30 dollars for a 5 lb bag. Is this protein ok or is there something better on the market that is around the same amount (5lbs) for the same amount of money?
@wmc792004 if you listen to the video 100% whey means all that is in it is whey BUT the EAS is about 70% protein and high in cholesterol that is why it is so cheap. we have 80 and 90% protein for not much more see our PROTEIN page or call us thanks
@wmc792004 Just an FYI, EAS was one of the three top brands found by consumer reports to contain trace amounts of heavy metals, which could potentially build up in your body after prolonged consumption...
hey what would you reccomend for good protein that doesnt taste that bad. i take muscle milk right now and creatine but then i saw how only half of it is protein and the other half is all sugar
nitro tech good? read for yourself the label, Nitrotech on the label the first ingredient is whey concentrate which is cheap protein and no where near the quality of an isolate and if you do the math like is show on the video it is a70% protein (20 grams protein per scoop divided by a 28 grams serving size) so what you are paying for is overmarketed hype, someone has to pay for the $20k PER PAGE for an ad in all the magazines and guess what..you are if you buy it...
I startes seriously working out with a routine about 2 months ago. I'm initionally happy with my progress but know it can be better. Results are sloooow. I'm ready to dedicate to a muscle building nutrition regiment. What do you recomend?
im going to be starting swimming, and a few budies of mine and me are going to buy some creatine and protien, whiich type would u recomend if we want to get lean, please answer asap
your videos are awesome. quick question, THEY say: "your body will get into catabolic state (burn muscle during bedtime) unless you take casein". and dear mr rick, you're against casein. so my question is: can i survive without casein? i just wanna add few pounds and get lean. can i simply mix skimmed milk with whey isolate for my bedtime shake?
I use gold standard 100% whey isolate do you recommend be staying with this protein???? also i use to be 255 now i'm 185 i still have some body fat what should i use to get lean and ripped without gaining to much weight???? keep in mind i work 7 days a week so i don't have much time to work out
we are not Optimum fans...try something better in our Protein section at the top any of those are better. you need to find the time to workout to get rid of that last bit of fat and also eat high protein and very low carbs thanks
Hey Rick, just came across your videos and I must say they are extremely helpful and something tells me this could really be a changing point in my future in terms of my body development and proteins. It's remarkable how helpful these videos have been but uhmm I was wondering, in your estimations or with your pro advise what proteins on the market are really good ones?
I'd like to point out that whey protein is produced by creameries and you can buy it in big bag for like 4$ per 1lbs, casein is even cheaper. I did that, even asked my friend to test in lab and it came out to be the ONLY whey that was actually as stated on the label. For the flavour you can mix it with whatever you find tasty and there is no artificial crap in it.
isopure it was better than syntha 6 if you saw my video....and i do not think much of optimum for a variety of reason that go many years back if you want to know why call me at 321 727 8871 ask for rick thanks
i probably know why..i did the division a few minutes ago and their protien % came less than 40%...i just bought pure wpi right now...cant wait to try it
this is probably i waste of time question, but, would you recommend no-xplode for cardio..i did take n.o for weights but now since i am trying out for college. Cardio is a huge factor...
if you have a problem with energy then try the no xplode, if not you can get the benefits of the pump if you just take the NO by itself...like nitrix or any of the NO's, actually we have hell of a deal on prolabs; Nitro Fire it hink it is only$24.99 and it has 45 servings so it is a better deal than NoXplode thanks rick..i am out for the night
I wish I could buy stuff off you, everytime I go to Vitamin Shoppe or GNC I feel like Im getting assfucked!

nicorogo 2 years ago
so isopure has about 80 grams per serving?
madmike1210 2 years ago
no you take 65 grams to get 50 protein so it is about an 80% protein the Bioplex pure WPI is 88% and so is the Sports one whey isolate
