@Hedgiehooper Honestly, feel free to judge. I personally agree that the original recording was better but then again those performers were picked specifically for their roles. I think it compares though. Everything is a matter of opinion. Some people even first discovered WSS because they saw the episode of Glee. If we're getting new fans because of it, no need to complain.

However, the Glee cast performed this and the other WSS songs because they were performing one of the best shows ever.

Uh, they do realize that this song is all about how unfairly immigrants from Puerto Rico were treated in the USA, right? And they do realize that the vast majority of the characters on Glee are white? Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this? And aside from that, the accents in this are terrible, and the original singers were so much better and more unique. Why did Glee cover this? Are they intent on ruining every song I like? Good thing they'll never cover Bomb the Music Industry!
