It's getting a turbo soon along with a change of fuel tank (to a Range Rover tank in the back where the spare wheel normally goes) and a second transfer case. The standard tank limits ramp over angle.
Yes, 2L diesel. I reckon it really could do with some more power. My brother is looking into boosting it. But his dream is to get a 3L TD (like he has in his 01 hilux) for it.

No, he's doing it right... I'm sure he doesn't feel like replacing the wiring harness every time it goes into water.
Or changing his brakes all the time b/c traction control is stupid.
He's also got a better frame, & a better engine... & stronger axles...
