Fuck the people saying the 70´s are dead. Sure, that´s the past, but the good old days of rock were in the 70´s and 80´s. I´m glad there´s a band nowadays that rescues that style. because of bands such as wolfmother, rock lives on. And as we speak, thousands of people are buying justin bieber cd´s and killing rock!!

im sorry but wolfmother what year is it. we are not in the seventys anymore as mike patton has said. this band is deffinetly not worth a grammy. and for all those saying tool is nowhere as good go see them live and compare a tool show to a wolfmother show. i have seen both and wolfmother is just lame and they sound like shit.

Fantastic band! He is a really good songwrighter, and i like the flirts with the 70's sabbath/leaf hound.. Only negative is that it needs more guitar.. fills solos, bends, funky's, blues solos (belongs to this kinda music) .. more guitar over all for christ sake!!
Andrew in Wolfmother, if you read this! ;) More of the sabbathish-songs
and far less of the ones sounding like supergrass!

@iamspikeyoko this is a late reply but i don't get on here that often , but they split due friction between band members mainly stockdale verses ross and heskett , also due to quote ' irreconcilable musical and personal differences'. hence the reason why ross and heskett are still together, so its actually YOU who needs to get there facts right

woman only lasts for 2.50 minutes which is pretty short, the other ssongs are pretty long cept for SOAD and dont really have that much "hard Rock" unlike Woman which is liek nonstop hardrock from start to finish, so i think this is a fitting conclusion as WolFmother are the only guys that pretty much just rocked out

lol u guys seem to have missed the point entirely. Wolfmother won because they played a song that embodied the essence of hard rock with badass riffs and wailing vocals and from personal opinion i think they are also the most hard rockish of the nominated bands.Buckcherry lost because their lyrics are kinda stupid and they sound much liek aero smith, i see nothing hard rock about NIN they sound too quiet and have more feel but less rock the same goes for SOAD, and tool doesnt rock out enuff

The funny thing is Tool has won two grammys but those years they were in the category of metal. I have no idea why they were in the hard rock category this time. Clearly listen to the song Vicarious, and while it's not my favorite song from Tool it rocks out wayyyyy more than Wolfmother.

Wolfmother are completely derivative, they are an unoriginal fad and NO ONE will remember them in 20 years. On the other hand Tool will be remembered indefinitely because they are real musicians/artists creating something worthwhile.
