why do you people listen to this? There are many guitarplayer's out there who would't even consider remembering this chord progression, let alone making a whole 'song' out of it
This song is a falsified version - original song plus some spoken hungarian lyrics. The original is called "Näkin Laulu" (The Chant of Näki) and was released on Tenhi's album "Kauan". Whether there is a character named "näki" in the Kalevala I cannot say (though it would be strange), whereas "Näkki" means nix. Anyway, this title (Kalevala) comes from the "new edit" I guess.
Vikings also died alot before they settled in Finland. Russians and Vikings have allways been Finlands natural enemies and allways will. Their languages and cultures are so different to ours.
Define "viking". Swedes didnt settle Finland until after 1000.
"When the Uralic or Finno-Ugric languages were first spoken in the area of contemporary Finland is debated but current opinion leans towards the Stone Age." wikipedia
@11vivisection11 The word "viking" just means basically like "he who comes from the fjords". "Vik" means "fjord/inlet", and "~ing" is a suffix that implies some sort of noun that has some sort of origin or development or something similar in the way of whatever root syllable it's connected to / associated with, so "Viking" essentially means "fjord person". The Vikings didn't actually identify themselves as "vikings" but as "Rus", and in modern-day Swedish, the word "Rus!!" means like "Charge!!"
@FiendishBass "in modern-day Swedish, the word "Rus!!" means like "Charge!!" It's probably where the English verb 'to rush' comes from, not to be confused with the English noun 'rush' that both relates to the verb and is also a plant... >250,000 and we still have a shitload of multipurpose ones :(
@11vivisection11 Och just nu beaktade din youtubeshemsid och såg att du är från Sverige och då ju vidde du det. Jag kommer från Kanada. Hur är tiden för dig?
@FiendishBass "Jag kommer från Kanada. Hur är tiden för dig?" that totally reads like how a drunk Inverness person sounds, must be the Viking influence :D
in brief: totally different lifestyle with a similar language.
A friend of mine told me Finnish people are weirdly "cold". Everything is implausibly clear and tiny which comes unnatural to Hungarians. And i've heard that they can't really have fun and have pleasant at partys ... like that. I don't know more becase i've never been to Finnland.
Hmmm.... I can tell you that some Finns are like that, but there are others, like those from Savo or Karjala, who are very lively and humorous. But even then, I think, it may be a little relative. Finns do like to have fun though!
Being of finnish blood myself, I Failed to restrain a giggle. Try stopping by Helsinki a friday night, We do know how to party, Adding a bit of Koskenkorva, there is bound to be pleasantries quite unparallelled at these latitudes. It might not be obvious to outsiders, though, seeing as no-one understands what we're talking about.
what the fuck is in the background? does someone realise what kind of blasphemy he did? well, if you hear me, musical genius... i wouldn't actually like to tell you anything, cause i'm going to throw up right on my desk

'Näkin laulu' means "The Chant of Näkki', actually, because that's how Finnish works. Something belonging to Näkki is Näkin.
