  • That's because both English and Frisian are languages spoken on the coasts of the North Sea. A lot of travelling and trading must have gone on in the past between these countries and therefore they must have left some mark on each other.

  • it has nothing to do with trading watch the adventue of english the birth a language it explain why there are similarities its because they are both west germanic languages.

    eala, We came from a common language group Anglo-Frisian which is why a theodisc speaker can understand a Frisian.

    Even a modern English speaker can understand some bits.

    We came from the same people and Frisians(along with Angles,Saxons and Jutes) formed England.

    It's old English but in Old English the language is called theodisc or "folkish".

  • this is crazy, its english like sounds, except i cant understand much at all
