Was this some sort of prerecorded QVC/CVN knockoff? By 1987, Trebek was pretty established as the host of Jeopardy -- I'm surprised he was involved in something like this!
I remember this was a high quality produced shopping show mixed in with all the new shopping networks coming about. Just before it was canceled they had replaced both hosts with Richard Simmons.
On that opening "shopping list" graphic, there's a "VC Player" listed -- who would buy a videotape player that couldn't record?!
