Bitter melon is an amazing 'medicine' for lowering blood sugar. Thanks for the great recipe! You can see more about healing power of food at our channel. Much gratitude for sharing!
To denumber11: It is perfectly acceptable to leave the seeds in and many prefer it with the seeds in. I add dhana and jeera too. If you have a better recipe, upload it rather than make stupid comments about videos that others have taken the trouble to upload.
@lazytimewaster I cook frozen karela that is pre-cut with the seeds in it. However, it is entirely up to you taste as to whether you de-seed the karela that you cook..
In India, it is eaten as a vegetable or cooked in curries (after it has been soaked to remove its bitterness), and it is an important ingredient in Chinese cuisine for its bitter flavor.

@carlaacaragann It is bitter, as the name implies :) but cooking it in recipes like curries help to balance the taste well.

@indian1943 Can you eat the seeds? I was always taught to take them out before cooking. That's the filipino and chinese way of cooking it.

I like it raw. Take out the seeds, slice up into pieces, put into a bowl with sea salt, pepper sauce, vinegar.. keep it in the fridge for snack time.
