Have you taken into consideration that this simulation does not include the change in the orbit of Apophis due to the Earth's gravity on it's April 2029 pass? Since NASA doesn't know exactly what the orbit of Apophis will be like after 2029, it's not built into their simulator, and therefore all dates after April 2029 are wrong. There's still only a 1 in 250000 chance it'll hit in 2036, but that may be why the simulator makes it seem like Apophis won't even be close to the Earth in 2036.

I think that 2036 is optimistic. And it wouldn't need to impact Earth to be catastrophic. It would only need to come close to or within our atmosphere to have a cataclysmic effect. I say 2028-2029.

In order for Earth to be impacted by an asteriod, it would have to elude the supreme strength of Jupitor's gravity.

you cant make that kind of prediction without observing the way the asteroid will move around earth in 2013 and you diagram only shows an x,y quordinates not the xyz that would be needed to make that judgement.

It will be good to remember that the all knowing Obama killed the Constellation program aimed at bringing man to the moon by 2020 so NASA could refocus on studying climate change which will affect man hundreds of years into the future. The unfortunate thing is that it doesn't really work like it does in the movies! for your theory to work we would probably need 100's of 1000's of rockets to be able to disperse all the debris left from the initial explosion, this in turn could would probably not be good as all of the rocks burning up in the atmosphere could well cause a firestorm in the upper atmosphere raising the temp of our fair planet by a few hundred degrees!

I think that 2036 is optimistic. And it wouldn't need to impact Earth to be catastrophic. It would only need to come close to or within our atmosphere to have a cataclysmic effect. I say 2028-2029.
BTW, check the calendar on your computer and see what the last year on it is. On mine, I think it's Dec 31, 2028. That's because TPTB have known about this longer than they admit.
