What does the hop-up do?

@nicros96 I painted them. I used a plastic tray-bullet divider from a pack of .22lr bullets and put about 50 bb's in at a time and painted them very lightly with flat black paint.

@MegaBlazer87 It makes the airsoft guns much more accurate by putting a back-spin on the bb's. Without it, the bb's would be like throwing knuckle-balls, completely unstable and inconsistant shots. Plus it also makes the bb's go further by creating lift. Think of the back spin on a golf ball when it is driven down the range with a wood.

@taofledermaus This is why, at our Close-Quarters facility in Pittsburgh, we do not allow players to purposefully use the walls to ricochet shots at opposing players around corners. Not just because it is unrealistic, but poses a safety hazard. There is a strict energy limit due to the proximity of players indoors. However, this only accounts for translational energy. When the BBs hit the wall they can actually speed up by converting rotational energy into translational energy. Very interesting

@1sn4ke1 I think I had the hop up maxed out. Remember that this video is 20 times slower than real time and the gun is firing at close to 1200 bb's a minute (ROF) and even the best airsoft markman isn't going to hit a target with every single bb. We just don't notice the bb's that miss when we see it happen in real time.

@1234567899413 It's an old Double Eagle AK47. I run it at a higher than normal voltage to increase the rate of fire, which is not recommended if you want to avoid breaking gears or teeth on the piston.

At first i didnt know what hop up was so i watched a vid ( im stupid who cares) about the backspin and then i watched this i was like "Wooo tight. OOH dod you see that!??! " I liked the slow mo it was kool. Next time you should shoot something like Fruit or jello or anything that is soft or something like glass.

Thanks for subscribing! The camera I use films in high speed,  and takes 600 images a second (frames per second) so it slows down things 20 times.

I forgot to give you credit. I didn't think I would get very good results, but I tried and tried. Then my battery died out on my airsoft, and I ended up hooking it up to a car battery, haha, it gave the gun a crazy high rate of fire. I am always open for ideas. Anytime!! THank you!
