  • Yeah, that's him. He's been working on a video at ren fest with him playing harp, it should appear on his channel some time soon.

  • holy shit! hey that's so cool..he found himself on here! (I wonder if he remembers me videoing him)

  • yeah, I remember. you shoulda sat down :)

there was a little kid, last sunday, who walked up and asked if he could play, and I let him!

  • Nice to meet you too Frank! I plan on visiting again this month. Hopefully i'll bump into you.

Just curious...do you make up those songs?...and where did you find a wooden harp? I've never seen one before. Is there a certain name for it?

  • my music is mostly improvised :)

and... most harps are wooden, but this one is special ;p it came from a distant land [colorado] where lives a talented artisan, a crafter who sells his wares [harps] under the brand name "R Harps", and this particular model is called the 'Gothic 22' [22 strings].

now, there is a special story of how it came to be in my possession, for it is not the first harp that I have owned... The first was a gift from my folks, and got smashed by a jealous monster, and ~

  • so I fell into a deep sadness, my fingers longing to touch her strings once more.

then, one day, I was lamenting this painful happening, and my friend [Sidney], who is also a harp player, was moving to Ireland, and she happened to own a small harp of the same dimension, but a lighter color, and she sold it to me for a mere $200, which is, I think, the most affordable harp in history ;)

  • I miss the Texas Ren Fest. Wish I could have seen you there, in person, but, that was in the 1990s. Play on, my talented friend. Contact me when you have videos of your playing that magickal harp.

  • I have some on my account!

  • that's cool ,i am a guitarist myself and i love all stringed instruments, there is just somthin about them that i just have to have a strum

  • exactly! I was so tempted to ask...in fact had it not been for my family waiting for me...i would have! He was awesome...and so gentle of a person. It was almost inviting...

    (-=

  • i play Cello too...so yeah, i love string instruments.

  • i wish i could have videoed more...he played so well.
