@ClGARETTEZ oh stop it...LOL! he was the sweetest thing playing there all alone i wasn't there to video but i love the harp and thought i won't be seeing this again anytiime soon so i pulled my camera out and started shooting. He was so polite... Frank is his name...(=
and... most harps are wooden, but this one is special ;p it came from a distant land [colorado] where lives a talented artisan, a crafter who sells his wares [harps] under the brand name "R Harps", and this particular model is called the 'Gothic 22' [22 strings].
now, there is a special story of how it came to be in my possession, for it is not the first harp that I have owned... The first was a gift from my folks, and got smashed by a jealous monster, and ~
so I fell into a deep sadness, my fingers longing to touch her strings once more.
then, one day, I was lamenting this painful happening, and my friend [Sidney], who is also a harp player, was moving to Ireland, and she happened to own a small harp of the same dimension, but a lighter color, and she sold it to me for a mere $200, which is, I think, the most affordable harp in history ;)
I miss the Texas Ren Fest. Wish I could have seen you there, in person, but, that was in the 1990s. Play on, my talented friend. Contact me when you have videos of your playing that magickal harp.
exactly! I was so tempted to ask...in fact had it not been for my family waiting for me...i would have! He was awesome...and so gentle of a person. It was almost inviting...

Just curious...do you make up those songs?...and where did you find a wooden harp? I've never seen one before. Is there a certain name for it?
