  • SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! Credits to yourself, Credits to Yanni and your YMK production. What about the words of wisdom?!?

For everyone who was wondering who wrote these words of wisdom his name was Octavian Paler.

  • I knew it! The Dalai Lama IS God!

  • @475asdf no, he's a human

  • I love you god!

  • God's time is eternity we should be thankful with that..He is always ready to listen to our desire and longing...

  • meh

  • Can we all please stop condemning each other to hell, that's god's job!

  • Other people can't hear him, because he is always next to you and talking to you, in your mind, but it is true.

  • this is beautiful|

  • GOD IS LOVE...n_n

anyways this video is very true :)

  • i bet everyone wishes they could interview god almighty

  • Thank you every one for liking what I made with my limited skill.:)

iknow how to play it on piano(:

  • How Can 26 People Dislike Such A Message.

  • @izzybby597 'Cause we all lost our conscious connection with God somewhere along the way and this video can rattle peoples cages, but in the end everything will return to the source :) Let us support our sisters and brothers in their own path, how far it may seem from your own and see the Truth and the Love of The Infinite in everyone.

  • it takes beautiful beings to create beautiful things. It takes a beautiful being to notice beauty fullness to be able to share it too. Thank you for extending such a beauty full experience to me.

  • @ChinezeO Thank you

    Gloria Houghton

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! :) love it!!

  • Although this is certainly very nice music, I think it would be hard to beat the original.

  • What the heck?

  • The only evil i see in human beings is the idea that we ourselves are "Gods", we think we are so fucking smart, well inteligence is relative. We compare ourselves with dogs and estabolish a sense of higher being. we are no better then the ants in the sand. Our earth could easily be destroyed by a wide variety of cosmic destruction. Then what is your inteligence going to mean? nothing. If humans could leave one legacy, i would hope it would be of love, compassion, and innocence.

  • @madnesscombat5 listen! This is a christian video, don't use vulgar language please!

  • @1000brandito i was just trying to prove a point, and what does language have to do with anything, if i cursed in japanese would you be mad?

  • @1000brandito This has nothing to do with christianity, all the more with spirituality, our own connection to God/Source/Brahman/Allah, whatever human madeup label you want to put on the infinite nature of Spirit. It is not up to you to change the way how people speak and if you go against it you only re-enforce it, iow take it seriously. No judgement, no fear, no sin, no hell, just the eternal bliss of knowing there is only One. So let us all freefall into God and realize we were never lost. <3

  • i dont get it

  • am not a huge christian believer , however if my life has reached a point where i really do not want to live and know that my life will continue in pain and despair , will god accept me killing myself?

  • @JamesBankman6 don't do that! I promise you the lord would not like that, neither would your family/friends! However, if you truly pray, and read scriptures, I can promise you things will get easier! Maybe not instantly, but they will get easier! Just hold on! Actually a song that describes this would be a song called, live like you believe, you should really look it up, but just remember god loves you, and he would not want to see you go until the time he chooses for you.

  • We aren't here to live a life of ease. We aren't meant to escape pain and suffering. The purpose of life is to use our trials to grow and progress - to develop self-mastery and become the best we can be. We are here to reach beyond ourselves and serve others. We ALL have stories of woe, hurt and abuse. I turned to God with mine. He didn't take them away, but he gave me comfort and strength. I will be eternally for a loving, forgiving Heavenly Father.

  • multumesc-dragul meu...Lucian!

  • @UR55378008 Oh tell it to someone who gives a shit. I've seen surveys of the Public on issues like belief and atheism. Can't find em anymore. Doesn't mean I made it up. People who are blissfully ignorant are bound to lead happier more peaceful lives, thats common sense. Just drop it and bother someone else... sheesh.

  • @UR55378008 guy I can tell you right now, that when I was writing that shit I was delusional... But I have "seen the light" to speak in terms you might understand. Now go fight flame wars with current posters like a good little atheist. Y'all claim to be so intelligent, yet you talk about this stuff on youtube of all places... following the midndless example of others? who's the real sheep?

  • @UR55378008 Comment on something current... lousy flamer

  • These are great words of wisdom no matter what religion you are ore not. if you believe in god or not..

    Amor y Paz, Marlene

  • @marriverrock Well, if you don't believe in a god then it would appear depressing. It says we are all failures in life and do nothing but waste our time pursing things that make it bad.

Although it is good advice, it isn't perfect. I, for one, am content with my life. It may not be perfect but that is mostly out of my control...we can't stop ourselves from being mortal, so to speak, so chin up and enjoy your time here. I'm not after perfection just being happy.

  • @IJUSTSUBSCRIBENOW Perfection is just an idea and an unconscious one at that. On this plane of existence there is no light without dark, + without -, woman without man. Duality is a product of the wandering away from Source by living in our minds not in our hearts. Living happy from the Heart is a bliss. Being content re-enforces our awareness of what has been there all along! LOVE. "To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is the one who needs the least." <3 :)

  • God, If you are there always, where are you when a child being raped or sodomized viciously and is in extreme pain is calling out for you to save them?

Are you busy trying to clean up man's pollution, or watching the news and pondering over the mass killing being done in your name, or on the toilet with diarrhea, or are your ears so full of wax that you simply didn't hear that child screaming in agony?

  • I tried this too, but God didn't answer me.

  • @TheConcolor

it takes patience. its not about when WE want. it all comes in God's timing. :)

  • beautiful photos and words to live by.

  • google Doe's Account

  • Ah! A continuation of God's creation! We made up God, why not make up an interview with him too.

  • Life seems very complicated until you are reminded that the most important things to know are extremely simple!

  • Life seems very complicated until you are reminded that the most important things to know are extremely simple!

  • Life seems very complicated until you are reminded that the most important things to know are extremely simple!

  • to shit he does you dont know what the fuck your talking about msangelou

  • in some other version the God sayd at the end "Just know i am here for them... always"

anyway this thing is just beautiful. thank you

  • Amen, brother/sister. This kind of thing annoys the heck out of me.

  • When you come before the KING of KINGS & LORD of LORDS on Judgement Day ...... because you definitely will .....and He asks you what you did with his Son JESUS ..... just tell HIm "I Saw PINEAPPLES' .....I am sure he will understand .....and will say 'depart from me - I NEVER knew you".

  • @ONLYthroughTHECROSS Religious nut. Do die, please.

  • My religion teacher showed us this. Its nice.

Anyone know the name of the piano song? I'd reeeeally like to learn it.

  • if only i could carry this in my head daily, and remember life is not a rehersal, and i only have one shot at life.

would I really worry and fret over trivial things, I think not. what an awsome God we serve.

  • Thanks for this..

It inspires me. And became a problem-remover whenever i have to encounter bad things. As well as a reminder whenever i forgot to do what i should do with my life.

THANKS! God bless you and your family! ♥

    Spread God's love!

  • shame on you! you dont even know what are you talking about..

  • seriously...i mean whenever God comes up ppl always hav to use good grammar and long paragraphs.....its annoying -.-

  • because it's formal and it's the correct way.. ^_^

  • I like the music and imagery in this video, and some of the points are interesting. I'd like to think that in this case God represents human wisdom, but I've come to learn humanity isn't enough for some people.

  • Just an extra point: "Progressionist" has just censored all of my comments and removed them from his own videos, all of which were simply criticising his argument. Here's to the loser, eh? XD

  • God did not carve the great canyons, dawkins is telling the truth now i see, religious people are delusional.

  • Now, I'm going back to my research on anthropogenic climate change. That will make a difference to others; that is a key issue affecting the entire planet...and I'm an atheist, which you claim means I don't care about anyone but myself. My religious friends would strongly argue against you in my favour, because they know who I am. You don't. All you know is this: I care about our species. I present strong evidence in my debates. I'm working for a better future.

What the fuck did you do today?

  • Finally, fundamentalists and I may be matched, passion for passion, but the way in which we are different is this: my arguments are based on evidence. Evidence can always change my mind; nothing would ever change a fundamentalist's mind. Thus, you are a deluded fundamentalist. If you are this irrational, you are a fundamentalist, whether you like it or not.

Why do you not believe in the flying spaghetti monster? Oh, that's right, because there's NO EVIDENCE FOR IT.

    Last time. Grow up.

  • I've clearly wasted enough time with you, and all of the evidence I've proposed will not change your disillusioned mind. Everything you have said is never backed up with any sort of evidence, including logic. Arguing isn't just the automatic denial of what the other person says.

You can have the respect that I give any other human, but if you want respect for something you believe in, but cannot prove to me, I'm afraid you can't have it, no matter how much you whine about it.

  • "Man's unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Universe which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary we will pin all our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. God has not been proven not to exist, therefore he must exist, they say."

  • Jeez no need to be nasty or anything. Your just making yourself look like more of an asshole for harrassing me. by all means continue demeaning me. :) Makes me a hero of my cause lol

  • So now you are a martyr? Fucking hell, mate, get a life. If you can't argue, that's not my problem. You've descended into a child-like state even more so than when you started.

Narrow minded? These are quotes from some of society's greatest thinkers, and you quote Dan Brown? How dare you.

Take your fingers out of your ears, stop singing about fairies, and get on with your life.

  • Oh I dare! Someone like Richard Dawkins who discredits faith to sell books? he's only got the purest of intentions right??? Ha. Dan Browns books are awesome.

How bout you take the rod out of your ass and stop yelling at people who LIKE to sing about fairies ya prick!

  • Well now I know there's no hope. "How bout you take the rod out of your ass and stop yelling at people who LIKE to sing about fairies ya prick".

Inarticulately put, and once again, defining delusion all by yourself.

  • I'll believe there is no God when you show me. There I'm taking your opinion into use. Show me through incontrovertable proof that there is no God and I'll be an atheist just for you!

  • "It is often said that you cannot prove or disprove god's existence. So it is best to be agnostic, right? At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thoughts it's a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

  • "How dare you!" please. Go back to debating with your atheist friends im now in the mood to insult YOU XD

  • Go ahead, insult me. All you're doing is swearing. Aren't you all grown up now?

Just because Richard Dawkins strongly disagrees with you, that in no way means he has horrible intentions. Far from it.

And debate with my atheist friends? Ha ha! I'd debate with my religious friends, not the ones that agree with me on this!

You, sir, are an ignorant, anti-science, anti-secular, arrogant fool.

  • Well I hate to tell you this but YOU sir are an asshole.

Oh yes I burn witches in my spare time feel that stem cell research is the work of the devil and make it my personal crusade to rid the world of atheists. Oh what a misguided little stuffed shirt you are! Dawkins Intentions while not horrible are far from the best. As a person I respect your decision not to believe in God based on the evidence you have. I say: there still is not enough. Then you call me an idiot.

  • There is no evidence for any sort of god whatsoever. You cannot show me any. You might as well believe in Santa Claus, fairies, ghosts, and flying spaghetti monsters.

And by swearing and prolytising, you are only proving my points.

  • zieg heil mein fuhrer! I thought you brits were against the Nazi approach to belief as much as americans are. Just because I don't agree with you I'm delusional and less of a person? And of course i'm WHINING as you put it. Heres a little truth crumpet for you pal. find your answers, look for your proof. When you have it you'll have billions of eager atheists ready to join your cult! Until then piss off!

  • No, not because you disagree with me. You are delusional because you show these characteristics:- * certainty (held with absolute conviction) * incorrigibility (not changeable by compelling counterargument or proof to the contrary) * impossibility or falsity of content (implausible, bizarre or patently untrue)

That is the definition of delusional. I'm afraid you're stuck.

And people *are* seeing the lack of evidence for god's existence. Why do you think atheism is on the rise?

  • atheism is on the rise because someone got pissed off and decided that the church was too powerful. Atheism is the easy way out. The comfortable way out. There is no God so therefore I am not responsible for anything but my most basic human needs. That would be VERY enticing to some believers I can tell. My swearing may be canonizing your argument but your continued attempts to argue with me are only making you look dim. I am not CERTAIN there is a God but I believe that there could be.

  • Don't bullshit me anymore, please. Atheism is on the rise because people are learning to think for themselves. Don't be ridiculous.

My continued attempts to argue with you are only making me look dim? What the heck are you talking about!? I'm arguing because it's people like you that are holding society back. I'm arguing because your illogical, irrational, arrogant nature is the reason my job is made unnecessarily difficult, and the reason that there is so much violence in the world today.

  • Atheism is the way out of what, exactly? Delusion? I welcome it.

Are you saying that because I don't believe in a god, that I only care about myself? How arrogant can you be? Personal attacks - the lowest of the lows, especially if you don't know me. All we know about each other is our ability to debate and our levels of rationality.

So, you think you're smart? You can't articulate a proper sentence, you think irrationally, and you just swear and whine. You're like a dim, flickering lightbulb.

  • Now back to my original point. Why do you even care? why not just be your own and stay separate from believers in just that one regard? Why not peacefully accept the difference and go your own way. You are no better than the fundamentalists who shove their dogma's at me everyday! Coexist my friend! live and let live. I'm not sitting here saying I should squash out atheism! I feel atheism is dangerous! It sets the precedent of non accountability, It creates an excuse for unethical behavior.

  • I do coexist with religious people. I have religious and non-religious friends. It just so happens that debate is a good thing, as it raises awareness and makes people think. Sometimes, with people such as yourself, they just refuse to think. You've ignored all my points and just accused me to being a potential broken home owner and drug user, which are falsities, and I can happily direct you to the evidence if you wish.

  • Atheists are more likely to abuse drugs, create broken homes. these facts all based on actual surveys! What I'm trying to say is. Everybody no matter their religious or institutional affiliation has the potential to be dangerous as a group. The mob will always frighten the smaller population Shadowblade, why not avoid these differences?

  • What surveys? The most atheistic nations have the lowest crime, drug use, and divorce rates, and in the US, the most religious secular-founded nation on Earth, atheists also have the lowest divorce and crime rates. Fact.

There is no logical pathway for an atheist to do bad things because of atheism. You don't have to believe in atheism because it's based on reason. It's a disbelief.

Furthermore, there is a logical pathway through faith to do terrible things. It justifies itself through illogic

  • There you go. Just using logic, and nothing more. Apart from the fact you clearly do not understand the concept of evidence and proof, you cannot argue against this. I'd love to see you try.

  • I guess evidence and proof only works when you're an atheist asking for it. Your not even answering my question lol

  • "History does not record anywhere a religion that has any rational basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the unknown without help."

  • I'm surprised at the narrow mindedness of man. I thought if I respected others for their beliefs I could at least recieve some respect for mine. obviously the nature of man is to condemn his brother. Atheists will never understand. Shout delusional all they want. It's only their rationalization for a joy they will never experience simply childish rage. "Religion and Science tell the same story, Science is just to young to understand..." -Angels and Demons, Dan Brown

  • Maybe you've put your faith in spiritual claptrap because our random, narrative-free universe terrifies you. But that's no solution. If you want comforting, suck your thumb. Buy a pillow. Don't make up a load of floaty blah about energy or destiny. This is the real world, stupid. We should be solving problems, not sticking our fingers in our ears and singing about fairies. - Charlie Brooker

  • Now, my final word, before I get back to the pursuit of knowledge and objective truth.

This video DOES contain a nice message.

However, this should NOT be attributed to god, of which there is literally no evidence for.

This video should be attributed to the author. Give. Humans. Their. Due. Credit.

End of story. Welcome to the world of rational thought, my friend.

  • In fact, do you know how "delusional" is defined? * certainty (held with absolute conviction) * incorrigibility (not changeable by compelling counterargument or proof to the contrary) * impossibility or falsity of content (implausible, bizarre or patently untrue)

    Sounds like "faith" to me.

  • Besides, I'm hardly trying to convert people here: I'm raising consciousness, getting people to think rationally as part of a debate. What on Earth is wrong with that? I don't care one bit if you are offended: if you can present an articulate, evidential argument to me, then go ahead. You *know* you haven't.

I contend that you are all atheists. Some of us just go one god further.

That's it. Think, or remain delusional.

  • One last thing. I'm not trying to impress anyone here. I'm simply standing up for reason, logic, and objectivity. Evidence to the contrary for anything I've said would change my mind; *nothing* would change your mind, it seems.

It is not at all arrogant to suggest that logical, objective thinking is correct, and irrational, subjective statements are wrong. That's the method by which humanity has risen from our primitive ancestors, and I'm not having people like you defend irrationalists.

  • I'm afraid atheists do understand the issues of faith, and we happen to strongly disagree with them. We aren't being rude, we are simply stating facts, and if you think that's rude, then maybe you should defend these beliefs, but all I'm hearing is "I'm offended" yet again, like every other time. Clearly, faith doesn't stand up to much scrutiny.

Let me repeat myself one last time. Faith is belief without proof. This means you can justify anything. That is not only wrong, it is dangerous.

  • thats where you're just wrong you DON't Understand yet maintain the illusion of understanding faith through rationalization. And telling me to "grow up" is rude. I don't have t defend myself to someone who won't listen to my side with an open mind. You assume that because your knowledge of the universe points to the nonexistence of God when you actually know about less than ten percent of it.

  • I know that there is no evidence for the existence of god. If there is evidence, then fine. Where is it? Do you believe in a toothbrush orbiting Mars? No. Can you disprove it? No. THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT EXISTS. There are an infinite number of things we can't disprove. Think about it.

We have to be blunt if we are going to advance. If a grown man believed in Santa Cluas, wouldn't you tell that man to grow up? Yes. How is that any different from believing in the supernatural?

  • And a grown man who believes in santa claus just needs help. I wouldn't be so rude though it seems you would.

  • A grown man who believes in god also needs help. How can you not see the difference?

  • atheists seem to have a "my shit don't stink" attitude when it comes to there opinion. while a believers is only garbage to be impuned at there hifalutin whim. sure stand up for reason. pursue your answers. but do you really have to shove your answers in my face? and I'll own it. religion is guilty of the same. but I don't. I told you my opinion and you told me to "grow up" thats offensive not a statement of facts. your a phoney shadowblade. go discuss these things with people who can...

  • Shove my answers in your face? We are having a debate. Do you not understand what they are? Just because I can convincingly argue my point, that doesn't mean you can sit there and whine about it, which is all you are doing! That, and ignoring ALL my points.

And a phony? What on Earth are you talking about? A phony...what, exactly?

Actually, don't bother answering. If you keep replying, so will I. All you are doing is taking offense and being, frankly, inarticulate and childish.

  • stand your pretentiousness. I am a believer. I'm proud to day That I believe in a higher power. I do not follow the doctrine of any church or institution. I am a musician, an avid gamer, someone who is interested in science and progress of humanity through peace and the acceptance of others. I am a student at a notable conservatory. And I am no moron to be pushed around by the likes of YOU. Let me repeat MYSELF. Faith is not dangerous, it is only twisted by a few bad apples "God" is love to me

  • Faith is danegours, and there is a swathe of evidence to prove this. You are delusional, like billions of others. If you can't handle someone debating what you hold dear, then I'm afraid you have not grown up from being a child at all.

I have many religious-minded friends, and we get along just fine, but we strongly disagree on this respect. However, at least they attempt to defend what they believe. You just whine, fold your arms, and refuse to budge.

You are a mafia-wife to the extremists.

  • I HAVE defended my belief to you. YOU are too stubborn to understand why I believe. Just because my argument does not follow your accepted pattern of debate does not mean I have not told you why I believe. I believe because I have witnessed wonderful things in my life, I've felt spiritual enlightenment. I've sat at the base of mountains and just experienced nature in all of it's splendor and felt a sense of connection with the earth and the world. perhaps this isn't what you wanted to hear...

  • You've sensed a connection with nature. Well done. You are part of it, after all.

  • But it's my own experience that no one else will have. Until you have it yourself you'll never know. Shadowblade you seem like an intelligent person. Someone who goes by fact alone. So here is a fact for you. I may be your poster child for the stubborn believer but it's not because Im delusional I believe because it has made my life happy. I've always felt like someone was there. I've been a good person and I learned to respect EVERYONE and be kind to everyone. THAT is why I believe

  • You shouldn't have to respect a belief that you cannot prove, because then you can justify anything.

Did you read the definition of delusional? That's you, mate. That's without a doubt, you.

  • And If you can't respect me for that then thats just the difference between you and me. I'd keep this flame war going but I have a life and need to get up in the morning.

Good luck in all your endeavours

    No hard feelings

  • You're the only one flaming. You are disagreeing without evidence. If I said a panda drove the Earth around the Sun, but I couldn't prove it, I would be rightly ridiculed. You are suggesting something far more irrational. If you cannot see that, then you are lost. I emplore you not to spread your faith to any other person.

Faith, as Dawkins has quite accurately stated, is a virus, especially when it targets the young. Rid yourself of this virus like any other: with a strong dose of rationalism.

  • I thought I made it clear I was done talking to you. Apparently not.

  • Religion is even worse than faith, and I can easily point out why this is, but I think you know. Again, I don't care if it's been around since time immemorial, that doesn't make it a good thing.

Currently, about 90% of the world are religious, based on census data. 10% are agnostics or atheists.

One day, despite people being terrified of death, 90% of people will be atheists and agnostics, and there is no doubt in my mind, or millions of rationalists' minds, that the world will be better.

  • Myself, along with millions and millions of rationalists, have only recently realised that there are many people that agree with us. Atheism is on the rise, and for good reason: we're objective humanists, and we *know* that faith is dangerous, irrational, and decisive. Just because it has been around for millennia, it doesn't mean it's good. Cancer has been around for a very long time, but that doesn't make it a good thing, does it?

And no, I'm not respecting faith if it's counter-humanist.

  • This issue of offense is always something that atheists have to deal with, and it's a ridiculous argument. So you're offended. Well, I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm trying to get people to think unapologetically and unashamedly. So if you are offended, then so what? Defend yourself. Being blunt is not equivalent to being rude. And yes, they are childish beliefs - belief in a god is equivalent to believing in Santa Claus, fairies, or ghosts.

  • Please, people, realise that a) this offers no evidence for the existence of any sort of god, and most importantly, b) the rather honest words written about our particular species were written by a human, not some imaginary being. Think about it. We are better than this.

  • Erm.. Nt trying to be rude or anything.. But did it ever occur to u that this vid is for self-reflection? I mean.. Seriously..

  • "I mean...Seriously..."...what? Of course they are for self-reflection! But why does this have to involve God? These words should be about humanity, written by a human. Why does "God" have to take responsibility for something amazing a human wrote? There's no need to be so deluded that every time something amazing happens on Earth, whether that be a written reflection or a huge, world-changing event, people have to mention a god. All I'm saying is give humanity itself some credit!

  • bad boy..

  • Lol the author chose God to take responsibility and give Him credit for his work, and tat's wad he himself wants. Dun be too hard on yrself. xD

  • That's exactly my problem. The author wrote it - he should take credit to embolden humans, not something which there is no evidence for.

If there was a god governing the Universe, then it would be a very different kind of Universe, especially if he/she/it was anything like the one described in the Bible. If that were the case, I would hope humanity would have the courage to destroy it.

  • Dude, I'm sry to say this but pls respect other ppl's views. Wad u're saying is starting to become offensive to me and some others.. And most importantly, pls respect the maker of this vid and his decision on how the message of the video should be portrayed.. =(

  • Oh, and for the people that give me thumbs down - defend yourself! Don't just shout and whine and thumbs down your critics. If you believe in something, you have to defend it. Don't just whine.

  • No one whined xD

  • And if people thumbs down without arguing back why they did, then that *is* whining. Now, you can live in your self-deluded bubble for all your life, clinging to Bronze-age myths, but don't think that any sort of god is wonderful because of something amazing a human wrote.

  • I think it was a good video. It was very moving. The wording was very much like something a father would say to his children. It shouldn't be turned into a creationist darwinist debate. The message behind the video can be experienced and agreed upon by both parties. Living your life like it was your last day. loving one another and bringing happiness to loved ones. These are all good things right? Understand it's not propoganda for religion as much as it's a message that...

  • ... we should slow down and experience the world around us before we can't anymore. Love instead of hate. make peace out of war. be with friends and love our enemies openly. It's not something God or "a god" said it's just the way we can all be happier. And the whole "I'm always here" thing. It' because being alone in the universe without a greater power is frightening to most. Having grown up praising God, people are bound to reject it. God is not an all powerful being he is the ess. of love

  • Dawinist debate? Who mentioned him? This is just trying to give humans more respect than religious people give them. I'm a humanist, and proud of it. Being alone in the Universe? I personally don't find that frightening at all, but for the people who do, so what? It's based on fact. Just because you want a god to be there (and I can't see why you would - it's a horrible, childish, and authoritarian idea) that does not in any way make it true. Grow up.

  • why are you insulting me, im trying to have a decent discussion. I've noticed that about most atheists. there sometimes really rude. something that has been around since before science was thought of is not to be considere "childish"

I noticed your commentv about people should respect your opinion. too bad you can't respect mine

  • which in itself is all powerful..

  • This may be a nice message, but again, well done for tip-toeing around the point.

Yes, the non-religious message can be enjoyed by everyone.

No, you should NEVER attribute something amazing a human wrote to a creature which there is no evidence for. That's an obective, humanist perspective, whether you like it or not. GIVE HUMANITY SOME CREDIT.

  • I do give humanity credit but you don't need to be so against something when you know it doesn't exist. Why fight it if you know? everyone had fairy tales when they were young. they grew up with an imaginary story. the true humanist would respect his fellow human no matter his belief. We are naturally social creatures. religion evolved with our socialness. it plays a role in the world. accept it for others to have there beliefs and we thrive

  • I don't need to be against something when I know it doesn't exist? Well, BILLIONS think it does, and this isn't only irrational, it's detrimental to the progression of our species, it's dangerous, and has lead to so much lunacy and destruction, more than anything else in recent history. These are facts, and I'm afraid if you are religious, you have to defend them, and all everyone is doing here is saying "I'm offended". So what? I'm offended by your beliefs, but I don't whine; I argue. Grow up!

  • ok hold on. I don't subscribe to ANY religion. I have my OWN beliefs. I offend nobody with them, and made absolutely no notion that I belonged to the creationist camp. I was stating that I can take something from this video, even when I don't believe in a omnipresent intelligent God. True religion has contributed to major hinderence in scientific studies in the past, but those old crusades are dying out, and being replaced with practicality. however....

  • No, but you mentioned religion, so pick your words carefully.

Faith is not a good thing, as it teaches you to be satisfied without understanding.

Religion is STILL hindering science and social progress, and you cannot possibly deny that. The only reason you think it may be dying out is becuase religion is slowly dying out. Thankfully...
