Actually, if you watch real close in that scene, the next shot of her lying on the ground shows her left wrist... and she is not wearing her precious watch, the one Batou got to such lengths to retrieve for her before her mansion got raided by the narc guys. Which is actually a hint that she was probably using a decoy and her actual brain and ghost are located elsewhere. I mean, even a cyberbrain wouldn't have "survived", which is precisely why cyborgs are killed that way (a bullet to the head).

The two movies, Ghost in the Shell and Innocence are part of their own continuity, the T.V. series and it's own movie, the Stand Alone Complex series, is the same characters but in a different "timeline". Personally I would recommend the television series more.

the movie is ghost in the shell by Mamoru Oshii (1995)

later a show was made in 2002 ghost in the shell stand alone complex (SAC for short)

in 2004 a sequel was made of the first movie named ghost in the shell 2 innocence.

there was also a 3rd movie ghost in the shell S.A.C solid state society. and another tv serie ghost in the shell S.A.C 2nd gig.. (hope this all makes sence ^^;)

It's a cyperpunk setting. My guess is that the surfing is similar or synonymous with "diving", and the rest of the words may refer to her cybernetic body ("lithium flower" could mean "beautiful machine" or something akin to that).

It's all a guess, but Ghost In The Shell has always been one that makes use of a lot of symbology and attempts to encourage deep and/or philosophical thought in its viewers.

i cant remember which episode it was, but one time, while the rest of section 9 was busy working on a case there was a scene with the Major just hangin out in some penthouse with a few of cyborg chicks all dressed in skimpy lingerie and maid outfits, lounging on this giant bed drinking cocktails. they looked like they just got done "doing something" which made a mess of the bedding.

i dont know maybe thats just another otaku fantasy. but it sure looked like some Yuri-Ecchi action to me.
