  • I agree they were too close to each other. Corn plants are so shallow rooted I thought I would give it a try. I used the hybrid breed of corn plant that was to grow small ears of corn and a short plant. They did produce corn and I found out I had to cage the corn plants because the wind would blow over.Next time I will use a bigger hydroponics system and I will have a better plan support and maybe not so close to each other.not bad for my first attempt of growing corn. And I will try again.

  • Your grow bed looks too crowded

  • hi to you to.the nutrients i use is southern ag 5-11-26 hydroponic special and i use the general mix .one 25lbs bag makes over 3,000 gal.

my growing medium is only PERLITE. YOU ASKED : what forms of lighting and what light cycles were used in all the stages of growth?

The light is the florida SUN and the light cycles is from day to night.

  • This gave me a great idea on how to grow corn plants in hydroponics. This video could have been better if there were some info on what nutrients and growing medium were used. I am also curious to know what forms of lighting and what light cycles were used in all the stages of growth. Thanks :)

  • I also did silver corn this year Aquaponicsly found that you needed 18 to 24 inches after floating it with rocks and pea gravel on the bottom so that it can ancor it self, We also added stavia to sweeten the water through the root system. Found that the corn liked a real warm water about 75F..

  • Yep, if u can grow corn, you can grow any kind of a cash crop. lol

  • this gives me some ideas,thanks.....but where is the final product? did it ever set corn

  • check out video HYDROPOND CORN @60 DAYS PART #2 .We had corn for dinner and put some in freezer. THIS WAS A HYBRID SWEET CORN. THE CORN SIZE WAS 8" X 2" DID NOT LIKE THIS SMALL 2 ".CORN . This march we will plant BIG corn plants,THAT GROW BIG CORN. (not this hybrid 2"diameter crap)

  • lol i saw the soil under at one point, this vid fails.

  • what soil? looks like perlite and perhaps some vermiculite to me.
