why not a 9inch rear? the 8.8 is ok but a narrowed 9" is way stronger and no c-clips to worry about and 35 spline alloy shafts are insanely strong, no way they would break on this setup.
and yeah the antifreeze didn't leak, i'd just put some in it and forgot to put the cap back on so it just came spewing out.
true, but they don't, i was runnin 3:73's in this car, which is probably the most driveable gear, maybe 4:10's, but had i had like 4:56 gear, i coulda knocked off a TON of time of the ET.
no, it just depends on what year, mine's an 82, they generally come stock with about 245-260 depending on what it was in and so on, but all of them have tons of potential for serious upgrades
no thats the 1/8 mile time, im not sure how many horses i was runnin i do'nt know anywhere wit a dyno, plus.. i do'nt think 500HP could even get 7 sec, look at the ford GT or the new ZO6, both are close to 500 and theyre in the high to possibly mid 11's
the car came w/ a 4 cyl. that about the only coupes you can actually find, the swap was about a thousand and i knew a guy who had the engine he sold it to me for 750 w. all the mods on it. i paid 1000 just for the car itself, so all in all it was really cheap and nothing pulled beside me i couldn't burn
