  • What a lovely piece of guitar music! I can imagine walking light hearted through a country garden, enjoying the flowers, bees and butterflies....

    Great Irish tune!

  • Nice playing!!!! I just love this tune, you know where on internet I can come across the guitar sheet for free nor the tab.

  • @1111Danmaku Thanks! Sorry, I don't know where any would be on the internet other than buying the issue from Fingerstyle Guitar magazine's website.

  • a wonderful arrangement by my brother (John Pell),....he's very gifted, yes? thanks for playing it and posting it....nice!

  • Beautiful. Played along w/ mandolin and we sound great together!

  • @mgwhitehead Wow, thanks! Too bad I wasn't there to hear it!

  • Very beautiful, my friend. I was a student of John Pell's as well (some 30 years ago).

  • Very beautiful.

Being utterly ignorant I looked up dropped D.. "Dropped D tuning is perhaps most widely used in heavy metal (as well as many other types of music)"

  • A charming piece and another excellent arrangement by John Pell (my former instructor from long ago). I added this one to my repertoire today thanks to your video. Would love to see more like this one from you.

  • Nice job! This is the piece that my wife walked down the aisle to. Same arrangement I believe as well.

  • Ever since I first heard it I thought it would make a good wedding song - glad you liked it!

  • Hi, Thanks for your comment, your an admirable player yourself, best to you and yours. Mickey

  • Amazing! :)

  • so well done!

  • nice playing my friend

  • Wow very amazing I really liked it! I thought it was very southing like! (:!

  • Beautiful. I have an old album of John Pell, Chet Atkins, John Knowles, & Leona Boyd playing together. It's awesome.

  • Very nice! Its like a lullabye!

  • Not bad,Is this a steel strung guitar ?Glad to say the melody is coming through nicely. I think this is one of O'Carolans pieces.Try and keep it flowing a little more if you can. Keep up the good work and thanks for posting..

  • No, this is a nylon string. I've tried it on a steel string, and I think the steel-string sound suits this song better. The hammer-ons and pull-offs are easier to get cleaner on a steel string as well. Thanks for your comments!

  • I'm learning a different version of the tune in DADGBD tuning. Can't play it yet. This is really lovely, well-played and I like the humble sound of the classical guitar. John Renbourn does a good job of the tune, with a wonderful bend at the right moment. Thanks for uploading it!

  • Nice playing, Carlin. I am trying to learn flatpicking and used this tune as a stepping stone. Very soothing. Thanks. Larry

  • the way you play, Dune by Bob Evans will be a piece of cake for you. He told me that he initially wrote it as a lesson for his students to work on a few guitar "tricks."

  • Thanks odie, I'm looking forward to working on Dune. I can always use a few more guitar "tricks" haha!

  • yeehh great playing off this wonderfull song..byby peace&love donri

  • Truly Beautiful!

  • Good Job!

  • Hello Carlin! This is a beautiful tune and well played. Very enjoyable. - Julie
