  • Whenever I step on this ship in Long Beach, it reminds me of the titanic...

  • I went on the queen Mary in 2007 for a Marine Corps ball, I was planing on having nasty sex with my woman in a "haunted room" while ghosts watched. However just so happens that who ever owns the ship now thinks it ok to charge like $300 a night for a room so I didnt do it.

  • stupid queenmary because of her the olympic was scrapped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • vlllvihyclgihcgtkktuvhj, vvkjjvhjgkdfukudtdtk thumbs up if you agree

  • so the Queen Mary is Larger than Titanic ,, i always thought Titanic was Larger

  • @halofanboylol101 thats because the titanic is way over publicised and she wasnt even the largest when she was made in 1912

  • @xXxD3ADLYxP3ANUTxXx hey, hey, hey!!!!! titanic was the largest liner of its time!!!!!!

of course, she really isnt the biggest today because of higher technology. but, during her time, she was the most successful ship ever built.

  • @halofanboylol101 ,,,Ok you need to do some reading ,,The Germans the very next year (1913 ) had a class of ships that were 30percent plus bigger then the Titanic ,,56,000 tons 50 feet longer and could carry 5,500 people (called Balins monsters)

  • My Aunt sailed the RMS Queen Mary home to NYC in October of 1938. She was to sail the day before the Munich Conferenece - and well, it was a harrowing time, indeed. Finally herded onboard late at night, like cattle! Search for "Touring 1938 Europe Unawares"

  • looks like the titanic

  • @ortenci27 Almost an exact replica

  • I was born in Southampton in 1946 and well remember the Queens and SS France, as well as watching USS United States arrive on her maiden voyage. They combined enormous power with the most incredible grace and beauty, and we will never see their like again.

  • Going to see her next month :)

  • Hahah it's so cool cuz I live pretty much right across the street from her! LMAO! And I have been on this ship exactly 134 times :D

  • I got married on this ship in 2009!! She is magnificent! ;)

  • I had the honer of seeing the queen mary in 2009 I didnt want to leave her,,,

  • My family and I LOVE this ship. She is a real lady with all her glory and class even to this day. It's a privilege to stay aboard and we can't wait to go back and stay again.

  • What's the name of the second song you play on this video ? And also I have been trying to find the Queen of The Sea song, can't find it.

  • My grandmother came to America on this ship. :)

  • @Kelsie154 From England to New York ????

    ...

  • i have had annual passes for about 10 years now i would say ive been abord around 500 times or more

  • Doesnt it mean bad luck if the bottle doesnt break?

  • It is said that the Queen Mary's hull alone weigh 32,000 tons. That as much as the completed Mauretania.

  • I am happy to name this ship the Queen Mary. I will never forget those words.

  • Ive lived in Long Beach most of my life but only been aboard once

  • Wonderful video! Enjoyed it very much! (:

  • I love the Queen Mary! It's her birthday Today. I would love to sail on the Queen Mary on her Maiden Voyage.

  • Wonderful video Aaron! Thanks for sharing, brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye!

  • what is the second song and who was it by

  • @wills883 Meh I think it is called scary monsters and nice sprites by Skrillex

  • 1:33 IT SAYS WHITCH SHIP WILL TURN UP TO BE THE BASTARD

  • @multi1up He says "Which ship will turn out to be the faster, the Normandie or the Queen"

  • Amazing Clips. The queen Mary is one of My most Favorite Ships. I Think this is one of the best RMS Ships Built.

  • the queen mary was the safest of the RMS because she stays afloat and had no fatality since this ship made a maidan voyage.

  • i found a bottle from the maidan voyage May 27, 1936 Maidan Voyage Of The Queen Mary vat69 scotch whisky

it's listed on craigslist with photos wish i could afford it. bet some one will make a bundle of it be nice to see it in a museum were it should be

    PostingID: 2298330920

  • Im still searching for the full song havent found it yet

  • This is one of the GREATEST Tribute videos to the Queen Mary I Have ever seen~!

  • Queen Mary is the only RMS surviver and never tooken any damage from any Ice bergs, torpedo, nor collision. Queen Mary is the best ship of RMS

  • Comment removed

  • @sideslide23 There is RMS Queen Elizabeth II.

  • HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONGK

  • We built this ship and it should be here. It is part of our national history. it carried Winston Churchill and British troops. I think its a disgrace that its in USA and not here. Why cant America just build their own things? Oh well we have the Queen Mary 2 hahahaha.

  • @hurro67 Don't blame America,in fact thank America for saving it,it's a disgrace why Britain couldn't save it themselves, are country never saves anything and it's are fault,it's a good job America stepped in or RMS QUEEN MARY would have just ended up at the breakers.

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THE FULL SONG OF QUEEN OF THE SEA DOOES ANYONE HAVE THE MP3 OF IT

  • Legend has it the Queen Mary was hit by a freak wave off Halifax and came

within 1 degree of capsizing. Those on board said the seconds it took for

the huge ship to finally right itself were AGONIZING!

Makes us wonder how these top-heavy cruise barges they build today,

(such as "Oasis Of The Sea"), would fare in the same situation.

  • I'm glad this didn't sink. So awesome that it's still preserved.

  • if you see it in real life it is super huge and haunted waaaaahhhhhhhhhhh

  • I heard the song on the queen mary portion of the unsolved mysteries ghost dvd, I am glad I heard all of it. I was on the queen mary in Long Beach California around veterans day in 2010. nice ghost and haunted legends passport tour we had, but to get to the starting point of the ghost and haunted legends passport tour is confusing as hell.

  • Is this the one in Long beach Ca?

  • @mulder1021 Yes, I'm going tomorrow. :P

  • Lovely indeed!

  • the queen mary should be in england coz we made it and we deserve it

  • @me1648 The Queen Mary was built in clydebank scotland., check your facts before embarassing yourself.

  • @me1648 Yea but England was going to scrap it! we said no and bought it so we saved it!

  • @zoso426 its a good thing because its nice to see one of the RMS still being affloat she is the only ship of RMS still up, she may be out of commission but she's still a beauty.

  • I would have love to see the launch in person. Queen Mary is the greatest Liner of all time.

  • interesting to say that i was on it a few weeks ago xD

time freezes onboard this ship haha

  • WOW

  • It's what us British do best in style dignity and class.

The queen Mary it's British engernering st it's best

  • How did this ship sink?

  • @Bobinti It didn't.

  • @Bobinti this ship never sank, shes in long beach right now

  • I went aboard it.

  • That sng is so catchy,i love that song. The Queen Maaaaaary takes me!

  • Its The Poseidon!

  • Wouldn't it have been something to sail on board the QM when she was in service. Maybe I cant take a trip on the Queen mary but heres always the QM2

  • That is beautiful!Majestic. I have the "Floating Palaces" series on VHS, hopefully you can get them on DVD.These videos ,especially volume 3 will bring tears to your eyes,I,m not kidding ,and the music is really beautiful !!

  • That boat is scary becuase a girl broke her neck at the pool area and her ghost is looking for her mommy. And during a evacuation drill a guy named John Pedder was crushed by a steel door, people still here his banging on the door and people see him in blood soaked blue overalls. RMS Queen Mary is docked in California and you can go on a tour. How bout that ghost story!

  • is that really the sound she makes when she goes down the slip way?

  • They should have ghost adventures do a show there.

  • guys did u know this was named after queen bloody mary aka BLOODY MARY!

  • why do they have to act so scary?

  • One of Britain's greatest ships ever.

  • i was one of those 1/4 of a million people watching the specticle and then in 1937 i got my chance to travel on her to new york

  • @sammyb1929 You sir are very lucky... as I sit here a stare at my bottle of Vat 69 that was on board during her maiden voyage.

  • It is really great to watch live footage of this ,so majestic! I really feel I have lived in another time.

  • the biginning sound really weird and spooky to me lol i gess cuz i was on there and it was so old looking and this looks brand new and, its just weird

  • is this the long beach boat queen mary ?

  • Yes.

  • Im looking for the complete song of queen of the sea where can I find it,,,,

  • That is strange though how it was a dream ship then it turns to a nightmare

  • wow BUT IT IS SO WEARD THAT THE QUEEN MARRY IS NOW HAUNTED

  • is this clip from the documentary "Floating Palaces"?

  • @poretobatido I have the Floating Palaces videos(tapes),they were discards from our Library, probably will get them on DVD.Anyways the Floating Palaces videos especially volme3 with Queen Mary Normandie ,Mauretania etc...gives me chills every time I watch it and the music in just brings me to tears!! Great Documetary!

  • i yhink it travelled 96 hrs only from europe to n.y

  • I think, the Normandie is more beautiful than the Queen Mary. The Queen Mary looks like thousands of other steamers too.

  • the scene ariwing in new york is epic

  • Figure out how it would like if Titanic arrived at New York.

  • Amazing!

  • That was pretty cool how it was launched. I like that.

  • In the beginning, when she is launched, is it the original sounds that are in the vid? They´re quite cool, actually.

  • Yes. Except for the embarassing moment when the bottle broke because in reality it didn't break and bounced right back, making the Queen laugh.

  • Oh, isn´t that believed to be a bad sign for the shios career?

  • @Aaron1912 lol

  • This ship had some of the most beautiful interiors ever created for a liner or hotel. They were "Art Deco" in theme('30's) but restrained at the same time in it's modernity- resulting in a relaxing, tranquil enviroment. The original color scheme of the lounge was done in autumn colors that contributed to rest & relaxation of the passengers in First Class.

  • yeaaaa long beach we got the queen marry and ship wrek and a sub helll yyea we rock

  • you really like your long beach hu?i dont think is nice place but you probably were raised there.

  • when was da last time this ship was sailing?

  • if they ever do get her sailing again I WANT TO BE ABOARD THAT HISTORIC SHIP

  • I had lunch aboard the queen mary I had pizza with a friend of mine we sat out on the deck out side I didnt get a chance to see everything I wanted to I was pressed for time,,but I too am searching for the song QUEEN OF THE SEA 1936 any one know where I can get a full recording of the song,,

  • I just came back from the queen mary about 3 days ago I was in california,,im from Illinois i was so surprised to still see her deck guns still on board the ship from ww2,,,

  • Good point. I've stayed on her often and I've seen the deck guns but I never gave it a thought. Why are they still there?

  • I had herd that an austrian group is tryin to come up with the money to purchase the Queen mary and to restore to get her sailing again but they dont know if they are going to be able to come up with the funds or not not sure if this is true or not but I had herd it

  • British labour huh? Don't forget tons of Scottish hands.

  • Scotland is part of Britain

  • Of course it is. But most of the ship was built by Scottish labour, not that there is anything wrong with British labour.

  • @MsGirlwithnoname Or so they say...

  • I'd like a copy of Queen of the Sea too! Been hunting for a year now and can only come up with this snippet. Anyone have a complete recording?

  • Ah Queen Mary is the second Titanic. It would be just awesome to see her sailing the old fashionable way. to bad she was born during the time of the depression. In WW2 she was soldier ship alias The Gray Ghost for her gray color camouflage. After the war she became back to the luxuries ship she was and started having deaths around and inside herself. She became a Museum/Hotel/Tourist Attraction in 1967. THE END!

  • WOW! AY, DIOS MIO! What an awesome ship I want sailing, plus it has a song for it like other ships which I likey!

  • i whant to go there cus i heard its hunted and stau a night with ma friend plus brothe rand gf ittl be so much fum + ill scare ma friend =]

  • It would be amazing if the Queen Mary I goes again over the ocean, and that she will break again the record!

  • I think it would be cheaper to build an identical copy of the Queen Mary than try to repair and maintain the original for sea travel.

  • The old famous ocean liners should return. Like the RMS Olympic, Normandië, Rotterdam II (1915), Mauretania, Aquitania etc.

  • @Aaron1912 there have been so many rumors about the samething happening with the Titanic, I don't know if it's true anymore but anyways I would love to see a copy of Queen Mary sailing the oceans, bringing back the real purpose and gradeur of Ocean Liners

  • 75 years ago, and she still looks amazing on this video! Does anyone know how to access a download/record of Horatio Nicholls "Queen of the Sea"? Its a bit cheesy, but i would love to have a copy!

  • A great British liner, none could beat her across the Atlantic for many years.

  • US brits are some of the bigest snobs ever I was doing a stewie impression and one of the a holes made a sarcastic jesture. screw em. that ship auta go back to the real brits.

  • All shipyards in the world should rebuild the old classic Royal Mail Steamers again.

  • youve go to think this would be an amazing sight to see but we expect more from a cruise now than what we do on resort

  • September 26, 2009 marks the 75th anniversary of the Queen Mary's launch in Scotland!

  • OKay this is werid because almost ALL the famous ships sinked. wtf........

  • its casue it makes it famous look think of it if some random cargo ship sank it might just have a page in a news paper but no 1 very cares but if they make a great ship like callled tigi and is sank they be great news

  • @ShadowDragonForce101 she got very close a few times. She almost capsized during WWI, which provided the inspiration for "Poseidon". She also t-boned another vessel, literally snapping it in two. Its a miracle she's still afloat.

  • @Dirtboy101 It's not a miracle.. It's great construction! ;)

  • @ShadowDragonForce101

just like some most famous ppl, they died at young age

    sigh..

  • @ShadowDragonForce101 almost and not this one which im sure you know but yea that is weird but that's because they become really famous after they sink

  • @ShadowDragonForce101 wow.... the reason they are famous is that they sank.

  • What the hell was the United States?

The Queen Elizabeth will always be the most beautiful ship ever launched

  • The SS United States was a very beautifel oceanliner. She is still docked in the docks of Philadelphia. Still waiting when some one buy her and re-making everything.

  • Titanic had 4 tank rooms that could get filled with water if they did crash anytime and if 2 of the tanks get filled they do fine then they can stay up on water still but as bad as it was all 4 tanks got filled with water and titanic couldnt survive that and the ship started to sink.... cause the iceberg did rip up all sides to all tanks

  • I think the White Star Line thought that it was unsinkable because they only thought that only one tankroom would be damaged.. but they were wrong!

  • White Star never claimed Titanic was unsinkable the press did. Its a legend they started it, but its a error.

  • your incorrect Bonaqua, Titanic had 16 water tight compartments and could float as long as only 4 where breached, but she had 5 breached.

  • God, I so want to go to Long Beach, CA, and go on the Queen.

  • I hope you get there TitanicExpert. I've been twice as a hotel guest and enjoyed it very much.

  • @shiftwork Thanks, Shiftwork, I hope so, too. I am currently working on a Revell model of the Queen Mary.

  • @TitanicExpert. Good luck with your model. My workmate got a QM model kit but I'm not sure if it was Revell or not. But he did eventually finish it (so he says!). My lack of patience prevents me from even attempting it!

  • Well, I have patience with my model although it is taking a long time to paint.

  • i remember the song off of unsolved mysteries

  • pure did u know that on queen mary there 150 differnts spirits there?

  • i wish the queen mary could sail once again

  • My grandmother was on the Queen Mary.

  • did u know quenn mary is the most hunted place in the world

  • Maybe so plvotfan... but do u aslo know that the things that happends to the beds in one of the rooms is fake? I saw that today

  • pure did u know that on queen mary there 150 differnts spirits there?

  • Did you also know that in the room with the beds is it the crew that "hunting" they sneaked in there and paused a camera that was watching the bed for some paranomal fenominer and then they saw that it started to unbed itself and then they saw a CLICK and heard it to... so I think the crew stands for alot of the "hunting". Just my option tho

  • funny how most of their liners look alike but they are so gorgeous and great steam liners

  • 1:08 The White Star Line was involved with Queen Mary?

  • yep white star and cunard became 1 company around this time

  • why?

  • because of the depression. it had an effect over there as well. so they joined into one company and built the queen mary and the goergic and britannic 3 i think.

  • 1.Depression?depression of what?

    2.there was a Britannic 3?

  • the great depression and yes, check it out. it had a sister ship named the georgic

  • they both were not doing well

    White Star Line wasnt

altho Cunard is still Called White Star Line

    but Shortned Cunard Star Line

  • shit are the drags chains tied down shit

  • 0:22 LOL SCREAMING

  • Oh yes, she held the ribband until the launch of SS United States in 1952.

  • did she win the blue ribbion against the normandie?

  • Simply a superb video!

  • I love the Queen Mary its because of her and Queen elezibeth that changed the tides of ww2,,,the QUEEN had POWER AND SPEED,, shes part of our history,,the last of her kind,,,I hope someday to see her,,I wish I can get some autographs of any military men that sailed on her,,during her war time service!!

  • hail titanic boo queen mary

  • Atleast the Queen didn't wreck on her maiden voyage, and withstood collisions...

  • hail queen mary booooooo titanic besides titanic is old queen mary has a more history to it plus i have been there twice its fun

  • Both great ships of their time...

  • While I appreciate the history of both ships, Titanic will always be more famous because of her history, albeit short history and her loss.

Titanic's loss insured that she would live on forward in our minds. Queen Mary 2, unfortunately, has been cheapened to the point where all you see are fat tourists wearing shorts and t-shirts strolling her decks. She lived through a beautiful history with beautiful people only to be damned forever to host todays unrefined and unsophisticated tourer.

  • I appreciate your opinion. I have to disagree though on the second part. The Queen Mary 2..I have been on her to England for my honeymoon...is graceful and not cheapened. The Original Queen Mary will never be cheapened to those who still have class enough to dress up and stroll her decks. Have a great day.

  • Sorry, my remarks were aimed at the Queen Mary. The QM2 still retains its class since it caters to fare paying passengers who usually know how to dress. QM2 still has its exclusive allure.

The QM may not be cheapened to "those who have class enough to dress up and stroll her decks" but unfortunately they are few and far between. The majority are fat ugly tourists in sandals and shorts. The QM is exclusive no more.

Thank God you will never see people like that the decks of the Titanic.

  • The QM will always be exclusive in my eyes.

  • How so?

  • How so? Because, she is MY ship. I know every rivet, every passage, every piece of wood on that ship. I proposed to my wife on her,I was Married on her...I have stayed on board so many times I have lost count. I look at the ship not the people around her. She has a soul..a spirit that calls to me. Hell I even volunteered my time . She helped win a war. She is and will always be perfect to me no matter what, just as the Titanic is exclusive to you. Her allure is her history. Have a great one.

  • Well written. I am glad you love her and have made her yours.

  • Thanks friend.

  • Titanic had to much construction faults. Because after the Olympic collided with a boat in 1911, they took some steel away from the Titanic to fix the Olympic.

  • And I believe that the Olympic was safer, because it was a strong ship!

  • Olympic, Titanic, and Britannic were so safe. The White Star Line didn't know that the iceburg would split up 6 tankrooms or 5. The three monsterships were unsinkable when it didn't fill up all tankrooms.

And it's true they took away some steel to fix the Olympic. But the Titanic doesn't had any construction fault, only it was proofed that she could break by a hurricane storm.

  • ah bez da gaiest egypshun down at da brothel an did yoo no dat da blak egypshunz cum from saturn?

    it be troo sai aristottal

ma loos bootay need fillin rite now cuz it be wet!

  • foi um grande navio pena q agora repousa sobre as aguas q um dia cruzou velosmente hoje se emcontra em loch meach

  • Queen Mary is no longer sea worthy. W/her engines and much internal structural supports removed, she would need a complete rebuilding to return to sea.

  • Her keel has also been filled with cement. All the physical and enginerring reasons aside, condition of her sale from Cunard was that she never be made seaworthy again.

  • Well, that contract with Cunard could be annulled as it was a long time ago, but it is highly unlikely, costwise, that it would be possible. Leave her where she is - I enjoy my annual holiday there!
