  • There is no crisis of vocations! God is just calling people to be religious leaders who enjoy sex and don't see this as a problem...

  • @kennyinliverpool I think that most priests enjoy sex, indeed, quite a few of them seem to enjoy sex in-spite of their vows. You are right though, there really is no such thing as a "vocations crisis". What we really have is a surplus of lifeless parishes filled with the lukewarm and led by heretics. Those failing parishes ought to be allowed to die while faithful communities are reconsolidated into smaller more obedient communities or actual believers.

  • 13:13

    amazingly dazzingly crisp habit.

  • When we spend our lives loving people; when we pray, when we go to the sick, the dying the poor, visiting the nursing homes...When we speak the truth with our actions. There is nothing more satisfying then laying down one's life for others. Thank you for your witness!!!!

  • There would be more nuns if we had more fine role models as this sister: well-scrubbed, bookish, and buttoned up!

  • true that! We need more men and women to say "yes" to God and no to the world and actually LIVE like a brother or sister. I myself feel called to the Franciscans of the Renewal.

  • @cheesemonkey1990 Isn't it possible to say yes to God and no to the world and yet not become a priest or brother? Isn't that what all Catholics, married or otherwise, are called to do? If you are going to the priesthood because you want to be holier than I think that you have at least one bad reason for becoming a priest. Indeed I sort of think the system in which we ask for volunteers to the priesthood is broken. Shouldn't the Church choose from among the worthy rather than invite just anyone?

  • @BandofSorensons were the apostles the cream of the crop? How about Moses? And Peter, the apostles Jesus knew would deny him 3 times he made the keeper of the keys of the kingdom of heaven. God qualifies those he chooses, he does not choose the so called qualified. No one is qualified for such a mission.
