  • Are you supposed to lean forward/put your weight forward when you do weaver?

  • so your grip on the gun depends on the different stances? or are you on the "proper gripping" or "grip the gun in anyway youre comfortable"? im just curious...

  • @mooseyou2 That would be the Weaver stance bcoz just a little less of your center mass is presented to the the threat.

  • @mooseyou2 If you are wearing body armor then the weaver opens up a vulnerable spot in the armor as the sides are not generally protected. Of course the best stance is the always the one behind cover.

  • @TrainASDI If there's no cover, you could try crouching or maybe prone. Prone presents a smaller target and gives the shooter the most accuracy.

  • @mooseyou2 while what he said is the best option, to answer your question it would be that old school way of shooting the military initially trained there guys with the 1911, holding the gun in 1 hand, pointed at the target and the rest of your body facing perpendicular, so only the side of your body facing them, that makes the smallest target, but theres good reasons that stance isn't taught anymore.

  • @mooseyou2 Prone on the ground or behind cover

  • Where in Utah are you guys? Do you do CCW courses? Whats the cost for a rangemaster course?

  • @johnmgd We teach the Utah CCW course all over Utah. Currently we have classes coming up in Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Provo. Just checkout our website for dates. The cost of the class is currently $39.99.
