P.S.....the shop they took their name from was 'Turners' on Beverley Road in Hull. It's been gone a long time but they sold high quality furniture and their strap line was (wait for it).....'Everything But The Girl'

My mate Pete introduced me to EBTG in the late 80's - excellent stuff then and still is. They will always be associated with Hull and trust me, it IS a shitty place, I was born and brought up there!!

I was in Hull for ONE Year and surprise surprise: I loved that place. Yes it can smell very badly at times ... depending on the wind direction. BUt the people are great ( very down to earth-even to me (Italian-German hybrid)
