It probably needs some simple adjustments to the action, and a tune-up. Why can't this job be done? It could so easily provide quality entertainment, and give mechanical organs a good name, instead of showing how awful they can be. And I say this as an organ owner.
There should be a law against playing organs in public which are in a terrible state of regulation and tuning - as this poor instrument certainly is! What message does this give the public about mechanical music? :-(
Beautiful original facade. I am a bit surprised that the organ books look so new. How could you arrange songs for an organ playing them like this! It took me quite a while to recognize the song "We gaan naar Zandvoort" by Louis Davids. This organ needs a second change!
Oops I forgot to list people who can properly work on this organ. OK, there's Tim Westman in New Hampshire, and Alan Erb in California. In Colorado, there is Art Reblitz. In Florida, there is Robert Loeffler, and closest to you perhaps is Don Stinson in Ohio. [Stinson Organ Co] Depending on availability, they are all capable of giving you a hand with your street organ and making sure it plays and sounds its best.
Thanks for the info. From what I understand another gentleman from the Netherlands has volunteered to assist the owner and perhaps I will eventually get to see it operate the way it is suppose to sound and consequently be able to repost the video after it is restored to its' splender!
There are several people in the U.S. who can properly service this organ and make sure it is playing at its best.
To me, it sounds like the problem might be in the keyframe...the book could be mis-tracking. I don't think the organ has a major problem because it sounds like it has some power WHEN the notes actually play - but they are cut off too soon, and I am not sure if it is the keyframe or the relay.
I've heard some bad organs in my time but this has got to be the worst! How can anybody present an organ in this awful condition to the general public?
This is what happens to all the nice Dutch streetorgans sold to foreign contries. People don't know how to maintain them and it always ends up like this.
Where was this filmed?

Has this wreck been sorted out yet?

The problem here is with the air suply.
There is a massive air leak somewhere.
The relief valve on the reservoir may be stuck open.
Sort out the air supply, and the oran may work well.

Is that tune meant to be 'Ship Ahoy?'

That organ should not be played in public.
It only gives organs in general a bad reputation.
Very sad to hear this.

@Pellman31 LOL! I grew up having to listen to that dreadful thing at least once a year.

I'm sure if the organ had hands, it would shoot it self in the key frame.

OMG............ its crying for help.
Sad to hear it is in this shape, maybee it is only because the organbook is wrongly made.
On the left side there is a book from Tom Meijer, that should be a book what plays well. It is playing the song called:
Zandvoort aan de zee.
