I saw these guys in the 900 seat Digbeth Civic Hall in Birmingham UK in the early seventies . There were 13 people there. They played a full set AND an encore! I got them all to sign my "Prince Of Heaven's Eyes" album 'cos I thought they were going to be HUGE!!.
Tears in the eyes - thank you whoever put this on. Saw them several times including New Vic Belfast on Christmas Day 1974. This was the favourite track of a friend of mine who is now deaf - really wish he could hear it again. Great band - perhaps a bit pretentious - but talent in bundles. Memories, memories,,,,,wonderfull
One of the most underestimated bands ever. Full of musical talent. Fruupp could have been one of the best Prog bands ever. Loved their gigs in the early70's. Farnborough Tech was my location.
@CFR206 ....... Was there along with you at the tech on each tour. Saw them many times throughout the South of England but Fb Tech was my favourite venue, they were always appreciated there. Got backstage with them on the POHE tour and shared a few beers and stuff that night.
yo degello, jaunting car was one of their tracks 3rd album Prince of Heavens I think may have been on the single too but happyto be corrected. I recall it been used as a theme on a Gloria Hunneyford programm on Ulster Television.
Fabulous band! Saw them at Cleo's Derby too! ALSO at the Kings Hall Derby. The bassist/singer used to sit in a wingbacked armchair, under a standard lamp and read the tale of the prince of heavens eyes...great stuff!
everything about this track is simply pure class - hearing fruupp playing this live was a special experience. In fact hearing fruupp live was always special! anyone out there got a recording of steam machine?

Obviously, one of the most overlooked Prog Rock groups ever... Are they jazz or are they rock??

Yetstream, don't know where you're unearthing these jems from but I hope there's more to come.
Saw this performed many times but the Empire Pool, Wembley in '74 (I think) lives long in the memory.
