  • "He and Jensen don't get along"

    You mean he's a dick.

  • "We'll never force you into being lethal or non-lethal", unless we lock you in a room with a heavily augmented guy who's not susceptible to non-lethal weapons and no way out.

  • This game is in my favorites list... Well put 2gether..

  • fucking console player is dumb

  • "We will never force you into being leathal or non leathal" Oh Thank god, I just hate violence in my first person shooters.

  • bought this game and really love it - Check out my channel as ive started a narrated walkthrough in 1080p :) we also do all sorts of stuff, but our main other thing is minecraft. We'll be doing battlefield 3 and a co op playthrough of dead island :D weve had good feedback so far and if you do take the time to look i hope you enjoy :) thanks for your time!

  • Is there an option in this game to stay 3rd Pearson all the time, not just in cover? I like 3rd person more for games like this. D:

  • Pegi 18 but bbfc 15?

  • so if you take the agressive way you get half the xp as you would with stealth ? thats not fair

  • @GoznerPeter no it is fair because being stealthy is harder than mindlessly killing everything

  • @SuperFunnyman001 yea I know , but after a time its gonna be boring

  • @GoznerPeter Different people find different things boring. You might think stealth is boring, while I find shooting mindlessly (aka Duke Nukem, Serious Sam) to be teribble. It depends on how you want to play.

  • I got here through website which was saying "multiplayer" instead of multi path -.-

  • notice that the wheels are not even round

  • hello, if your looking for the link download Deus Ex Human Revolution game then u can get it from my channel ;-)

  • You can indeed disable all of the orange lines and directional indicators / crosshairs etc - the hardest difficulty has these turned off as standard too. This is on PC of course, not sure about console versions

  • ...beautiful :D and for the first Deus Ex game fanboys who aren't pleased about this game like the guy below me,nobody is forcing you to buy the game

  • Wow, how stealthy. Punching someone in the face instead of stabbing them in the neck. Amazing. And look at that, experience for killing enemies. Way to incentivize killing all enemies instead of letting people play how they want and handing out experience at the end of a completed mission like in the first game.

  • @Xaq03 Did you consider that he's punching a person in the face with artificial arms that are significantly stronger than a natural human arm? Hacking and socializing also garner experience. Stealth probably does in its own ways, also.

  • @Xaq03 watch the end of each approach stealthy completions got him 500 bonus xp, where as each killed enemy was 10 xp(i think).

  • Since when does stealth mean non-lethal? Seriously wouldn't you want the guy not waking up and alerting the whole damn complex?

  • brand new gameplay? sorry but they had multipath for years, Even Elder scrolls Morrowind on the xbox had this, as did lots and lots of other acient games. generally if a game dosen't have multipath, it's a pretty sucky game. that's like saying "hey we have a whole new feature...GUNS! yes our game has guns, how cool is that, with ammo and everything" though I admit, quite a lot of shooter games recently haven't had it (halo, duke nukem, mass effect. it's not new, but it hasn't been used recently

  • @Trojianmaru As far as i can remember the original Deus Ex was the first game to use the type of multipath we see today. so thats why its such a big selling point for them.

  • @pip489 hmmm you do have a point there, n I did always like that about the old Deus Ex games, gave it tonnes of replay. I'd finish the game as a talker, then a ninja, then a walking death machine, n that's not even including the choices you could make. n idk how old Deus Ex one is so I can't really think of any games older than it, but right from the very first mission you were being given choices on how to do a mission. ahh now I'm getting a huge urge to buy Deus Ex 1 and 2

  • @Trojianmaru But did they bring different character reaction and dialogue.? ;)

  • GUYS YOU CAN GET RID OF THE HIGHLIGHTS IN GAME OPTIONS. I wrote that in capitals so everyone can see, cos I hate people who ask for thumbs up.

  • highlighted stuff everywhere ...

  • It looks like they still don't get the idea of having open levels. Don't just have us go through room after room in a linear fashion. Design a level like you're designing a building.

  • That dragged body at 5:24 doesn't leave any blood trails which is kind of weird considering the amount of blood that leaked out of him when he was killed.

This feature was in Hitman: Blood Money and it was 5 years ago so i'm kinda disappointed. It's a detail but in game like this (where sneaking is one of the ways to play) it's an important detail. The game still looks awesome but it could be better.

  • Oh man, I can't wait! This is Metal Gear Solid, but in the future and with upgrades!

  • i really like the camera movement. You are in the classic first person view, but when you take cover you see the whole body, but when you do that the camera doesnt snap, it looks like where you were last looking is where the camera stays and the character moves away from the camera. That will play a nice role in the game and will make the game seem really fluid C: i really like what they have done :D

  • Most of us watching this are experienced gamers, I think we understand, stealth and combat methods. Geez, I hate being talked down too...what are we children? Yes we get it. Terrible narration...cant watch anymore....blah blah blah

  • @runningwithdog yep but some non experienced gamers will try it out if they explain to them what is all about.

  • oh crap i saw the XP thingy on the right when they kill an enermy.......why is all this heading to COD/bf crap nowdays this never was the case back in the orgional dues ex

  • @LtChris909 That's for leveling up augmentations, When you level up, you choose an augmentation upgrade, if you ask me, it beats having to hunt down those canisters and lug them back to a medibot. I played the beta, and the health regeneration, it regenerates slowly, and there are items that you use to speed up the process. (IE: Painkillers) It's basically just to save you the trouble of hunting down medkits after a fight.

  • @skytop082 what if i was to say I like hunting down medkits? :P

  • @skytop082 i also find i a challenge to not have those auto healing and makes u look after yourslef even more. In regards to the automentations.....hmm i dunno i thought finding the upgrades was more fun and a XP upgrade system it kinda takes the fun out of looking around for sutff

  • @LtChris909 This game is absolutely brutal on the "Give me Deus Ex" Difficulty, you go down in 3 shots, and your health regenerates 1 point per second. You take painkillers to speed up the regeneration rate, and the augmentations require energy that is restored by eating. The XP system gives you 1 augmentation point per level, some augmentations require 2-8 points, The points for activating can also be found throughout the world. The XP just ensures that if you miss any, you won't miss out.

  • @skytop082 well that sounds more re-assuring, thanks for the info

  • @LtChris909 Its a role playing game, games like fallout and WOW have it too, dont just randomly compare things to COD this is nothing like that.

  • @kuba2231 im perfectly aware its not COD lmfao! i was complaining how to the fact its using an XP system just like COD for killing enemies etc

  • the lady narrator needs to go she made this very boring for me

  • oh no i noticed they got health regeneration please tell me thats some noob diffculty setting...

  • @LtChris909 or it might be an augmentation. who knows

  • @SWGuruu hope so otherwise they kiddy arcaded the game and its more or less granteed to be a failure

  • @LtChris909 indeed, i remember when i first played dues ex, i had to somehow make around 10% health work for a entire level , think it was the heli pad level, you know what i damn well did it.... eventually

  • @thebritishgeek exactly what i mean. I hope they do something (i know its gonna be unlikley) to put some in "hardcore dues ex" player setting which could give us this

  • I WANT.

  • The hell is rebecca black doing in the suggestions to the right? GTFO.

  • Anyone but me relize that this game would be a tad better if they had the SMART engine from Brink?

  • he sounds like Walton Simons.. xD

  • "And loot it, just for fun" FOR FUN? I'm sure that's needed

  • That reload animation makes me drool.

  • This is fail

  • @PurexOvvnage your a mistake...

  • Like Tfotob said, i really hope you can remove the orange grids/lines around stairs & items as an option. Does this game have any completely non-violence paths?

  • @Avgen14126

As for the orange lines all games do that its basically a "HEY DUMB ASS OVER HERE" Sign lol I'm sure you can turn it off :)

And yes I asked this question to them and they said there is a non-violent paths

  • Instead of being so wrapped up in nostalgia or blatant bias wait for the game to come out. DE:HR looks much more faithful than bethesda's botched revival of Fallout. Some elements had to be tweaked due to the times or our actual reality having caught up or exceeded some technological aspects of the first Deus Ex.

  • Seeing as there's plenty of RPGs that are "crappy" that cram features you want like Two Worlds II and still don't end up impressive to you drop the argument. Regen health is the last thing added because of consoles. Same goes for body healing ie Fallout New Vegas. Designers own decisions

  • "let's hide him a little more carefully this time"

*puts body behind a see-through door*

  • @TheSteeeeels Women + video games/parking = fail.

  • its like mass effect and metal gear solid fused together

  • nothing like the original *shattered.

  • Game looks epic.

  • Bridget............ At least this time it's CLEAR that he is MALE (Guilty Gear series XD)

  • Reminds me of MGS4

  • So we will take non lethal approach. We will make our enemy unconscious and hide his body in the back room. We will consume some Zyme and cut his body in pieces just for fun. Later will find some kids to shoot at the the toilets and other dirty places. Our main goals will be finding better augmentations and merging with AI to become a God. We will play this way just because we want to explore the rich and diverse word the game has to offer.

  • I hope there will be some mods that will change some retarded console things in the game. I really hate this fucking consoles. They made a game industry a big hungry opportunistic pig that never has enough. It's all about making fucking money and not the art anymore. There should be more underground games. I am sorry if I am offending some one. It just how I feel.

  • It also needs different HUD themes like first game. I can live with third person view, because it's optional. It looks like a good game. It has a nice atmosphere. It feels like Deus Ex. That's what really matters to me.

  • Original Deus Ex had a better HUD. I realy don't like all this streamlining. Why they don't make it as advanced as possible. Health regeneration is a retarded idea. Why not take a classic approach at least for the PC version. There is some time left until the release. So it could be nice gesture for the fans of the first game. Deus Ex had status icon where you could see the damage you took too different parts of your body. Health regen takes away the possibility to heal different body parts.

  • I certainly hope they remove the gold lighting, but they probably won't because it's also going to be a console game. Same can be said about the regenerating health; terrible idea, but unfortunately they're catering a bit to the console gamers, like with Crysis 2 *sigh*

Still, if this game is anywhere near as good as the first, I'll be happy

  • the protagonist sounds like he smokes 200 cigarettes a day.

  • @wijse because he does

  • this game would be better if it was never made, dumbed down peice of shit

  • I hope you will make an option to remove the orange lines around stairs and items.

  • @Tfotob I think there's a video on Eidos Montreal's channel where they said that it can be switched off. It was in the video's title so it shouldn't be hard to find.

  • @Tfotob Supposedly, it's something they've already thought of. At least, that's what I heard at their PAX presentation.

  • @Tfotob There is an option to switch it off

  • @Tfotob

if you play it on harder difficulties the range which the highlights appear is less, if you play it on "Deus Ex" difficulty its not there at all

  • @Tfotob they will

  • @Tfotob from what i hear they have made it optional

  • @Tfotob they have that option already you can highlight object or not i already played (:

  • @Tfotob they didnt have it in the demo :/

  • My bad, not truckers, purists. =p

  • Man, I'm liking what I'm seeing. Body hiding, no music just ambience, plays out like Deus Ex but far, far nicer.

The AI seems to be alright, considering they are from what it appears to be truckers, so not extremely apt at gunfighting; prone to mistakes.

Only things that are nit-picking are that I hope there's a toggle at least for the PC version, for the gold outlining and the mission locator, it would bring the immersion up a tiny bit, at least for me.

    Eidos, Square. Great job!

  • @AntiStupidity no no no you need the music, think of dues ex the music was pretty much core to the game

  • I can't believe they INTENTIONALLY made their game bland and brown. Why? It'd probably look nice without the brown filter over everything...

  • @EmeraldFool

Called light polution, at night, in an industrial area.

Those places look like that in real life, obviously not as 'futuristic', at least in England they do with their strangely beige lighting.

  • Why is the Rebecca Black video related to this?

  • Frankly, a lot of this is nothing new to the series, and for example the stealthy approach and numerous ways to achieve your objective (e.g. creating paths) were already present and well developed in the first game. I'm excited, but I feel that apart from the new plot and pretty graphics there won't be anything really new not just for the series but for the genre in general. Play the original and you'll discover this for yourselves.

  • @Xantion is that really such a bad thing though?

  • I hope you can turn that gold shit off

  • @ben3580 hope not shitheel

  • WHY THE FUCK IS REBECCA BLACK'S FRIDAY IN THE SUGGESTIONS !!! GOD I CANT ESCAPE IT...

  • I don't understand all the nerd rage and pessimism over this. Looks awesome, and I'm like one of the biggest DX1 fans. At least wait until it comes out before complaining like some entitled bratty kid. Only thing I could say is that it would be nice if the highlighting would be toggle-able on and off in the options.

  • @999newaccount

If this is awesome to you, what than isn't?Looks worse than first Splinter Cell! It's not complaining but realism.By the way those who complain are ones that had high hopes for this title (based on previous)but are disappointed. We all hope final product won't look anything like this or it might be worse. This video reminds me of Alone in The Dark game and how it deceived people like something revolutionary is coming.

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog What isn't awesome to me is annoying nerds on the internet with the literacy of somebody who wasn't even born when the first DX was released complaining like a spoiled child about graphics in a Deus Ex game. In what way is this disappointing apart from perceived problems with graphics, which I think you are imagining?

  • @999newaccount

Than compare this to Crysis2, Halo Reach,Mass Effect 1&2 and others. You can't because it looks outdated and not just by the graphics.By characters robotic movement,by unimaginative tasks where clue is just in front of you(like in recent Silent Hill games)so you wouldn't wreck your brain,if they were going for realistic environment they got something between drawing and cartoon(Borderlands like),stealth seams easy and dragging bodies to hide them is too old now.Nothing new here.

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog Have you ever played through Deus Ex 1? The game is not about showcasing graphics. It's about the atmosphere, the feel, the sound, the immersion, the story. To say that the graphics and animation are worse than something like Mass Effect or Halo is objectively wrong anyway.

The stage being shown is either right at the very beginning of the game, or a demo level intended to show mechanics. You can't judge a game's difficulty with this little information.

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog And I don't know where the hell you pulled the Borderlands graphic comparison from. They are literally nothing alike.

  • The A.I. seems... very passive, and kinda lifeless, they barely reacted to that guy being shot. "oh look jack got shot, let me go investigate" and the other enemy didn't even utilize any cover and he shot maybe twice 3 times at most.

  • TRY USING A POP SHELD NEXT TIME YOU RECORD AUDIO!

    Too many distorting plosives. Eurgh.

  • I seriously hope they take off the highlighting. It's gonna ruin the game.

  • WTF Youtube, It suggested Rebecca Black Friday

  • Jenson's voice sounds like a retarded Walton Simons.

  • Is it really necessary to highlight every usable object with that tacky yellow outline?

  • oh no power cells for takedowns! omg they should remove this at all! thumbs up if you don't want that crap in such a AWESOME game!

  • where are his hands and feet?

    i thought this was 2011 not 1995

  • thumbs up if you got here through wikipedia

  • This is just a small demo (and the tutorial) as well. Maybe this game might not be bad after all.

  • The lack of head-bobbing is killin' me. PLEASE tell me it's going to be in the game.

  • Lol pick up the box to climb up coz thats easier than the ladder to the right of the screen 5:57

  • man it take so much time to sneak, im just gonna shoot.

  • August? Say whaaaaaat?

  • @animefr33k i'm pretty sure these are highlighted due to the fact that this is a tuturial hence the 'guard tutorial' 'stealth tutorial' etc. during this video. Do not judge a game based on an 8 minute video. The origina was amazing, and from the looks of it, this seems like its holding up the standrad of the series. Sure invisible war, was not that memorable, but it was still a reasonable game in its own right as this may be.

  • Looks fantastic. Ain't even mad about high lights. Like, at all.

  • lol that was too damn lethal

  • Christ alive, people, we get a new DE game that looks like Blade Runner crossed with a modern version of the original, and all I'm seeing is complaining! It looks perfectly fine to me. As for the PC/console worries; it probably WILL be better for PC, but it's been developed for consoles in tandem. I don't think we have much to worry about here.

  • remove that god awful highlighting

  • seems like you get more xp for being stealthy...lol, that's not balanced.

  • @t260y i guess its because being stealthy usually takes more skill, time, and effort.

  • I don't think this did a good job of portraying actual gameplay. Hopefully theres an option to turn the highlighting off...

  • Graphics in this game is from 2002!

    This game will FAIL!

  • @DanelMusa

The graphics are nowhere near as bad as you make them out to be.Also, keep in mind the fact that this game won't be coming out for another four moths,so the devs have plenty of time to polish and refine the graphics and gameplay before the game ships.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrClassi it´s NOT running same engine as Crysis 2, it will be using "modified version of the Tomb Raider: Underworld engine" in other words "Modified Crystal Dynamics Crystal Engine".

DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION will fail, sorry.

  • @DanelMusa

Crysis 2 may look pretty, but it still sucks. On the other hand, this game won't be the top elite graphics master, but the gameplay will kickass. No one cares about Crysis 2. gtfo.

  • @scud830 Are you retarded? @MrClassi said that Deus EX will be using Crysis 2 engine, not me. Imho Crysis 2 also sucks if you ask me!

BF3 now that´s going to be a WINNER!

  • @DanelMusa what the fuck means that? oh god xD

  • @DanelMusa you do know that you're being a complete fucktard.... right?

  • @LordxHasta This game will fail, you can call me whatever you want but it won´t change this fact!

  • @DanelMusa You do know that only dumbfucks think that graphics makes a game... right?

  • Its still ages till this games release but this looks OK highlighting and the first to third person shift could be a problem for realism/immersion but I'm sure that's something they've considered, BTW all previous bitchy comments go check out the off screen footage of a demo section someone filmed last year to see how un-linear the gameplay can be... or you could always be original and wait until the game comes out instead of deciding that it doesn't live up to the deus ex name from a seven min

  • Oh, look. A 'secret' roof path. I like how half of that path is 1) in plain view, and 2) covered in plank ramps as if the guards set it up that way.

In DX1, all of the obvious paths were patrolled or guarded by bots, and the safe paths were hard as hell to find. The guards didn't sit around picking their butts, and at least pretended to be professional. Oh, and it didn't force you into long, inefficient third person melee kills that left you open for attack.

This is what gaming is coming to...

  • @0mikr0n What do you mean? Guards were stupid as shit in Deus Ex, and had MGS syndrome.

The problem are those fucking highlights holding your hand.

  • I like how they're advertising the reactions the NPC gets if you take one way opposed to another, like it's an entirely unique, never-before-seen feature in videogames. Stay classy Eidos.

  • there better be more colors and varied locations, im not going to play the entire game in black/gold theme, gears of war is torture enough, dont these people know other colors exist ? what a dull looking game, seriously the gameplay looks stiff.

  • Bad Demo, definitely shouldn't release this for console. By showing this they have really let their fans down. Everyone knows that the movement for console play is too fixed, and not as smooth as a PC.

Should of played this on a PC, then release the fortage!!!! (Bad sign for console players).

  • What an unimpressive demo.

  • trash game.

  • i hope that was easy mode

  • I wish I didn't suck so bad at first person games, or that this had a third person option. Either way.

  • I like the fire sound !!

  • This game kind of reminds me of MGS.

  • How many times is she gonna say:"Just for fun."

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog They're trying to convince console users that this new shittier and easier version of Deus Ex is good.

  • @animefr33k So...how much of the game have you played?

  • @veblice None but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that this is piss easy. Did you see the box highlighting? With the "hidden" path behind it? They show you exactly where to go so yes I would call it easy. What next they're going to highlight the guns because you don't know what they are? Oh they did do that. I'm sorry if I offended you by calling this game crap compared to the original.

  • @animefr33k Never mind the fact that the video was showing the first level of the game, on top of that not even the whole thing. You are going to say the ENTIRE game is total shit due to a demo of the first minutes of a game, that wont be out for nearly half a year from now? I just hope you're trolling.

  • @veblice Oh so let me guess they're going to change everything around from this demo? How many times have you played a demo and then the real game was nothing like it? I thought you know, that is the entire point of a demo to show you what the game is going to be like. I guess I've just been wrong with every demo I've ever played in my life then. Oh so sorry, I didn't know you were the one making this game.

  • @animefr33k Nice job putting words in my mouth! Did I say they were going to change everything? NO! Good to see people don't use logic and reason in arguments anymore. I finish with this, if you are actually not trolling, at the very least wait for a playable demo that lasts longer than 7 minutes.

  • @animefr33k

Looks worse than first Splinter Cell.

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog Two times ^_^

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog around 3 times

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog well just for fun, i'd say a 10,000 more times

  • @StridingCloud

Even when it's not fun? :-()

  • Mhh.... Sexy Voice! I Would Like Her To Play With Me :o

  • Well, that was boring! Back to COD!

  • Oh, and for the uninformed, or those that know sweet-f-a about this game, it will be coming to PC as well as PS3 and xbox360. People forget too that the original was released on the PS2 and these same people seem to be willing to ignore that those who have had previews of this game (including people who rated the first deus-ex) have said that this game is a great deal like the first one.

Continue to hate on the gameplay trailer all you like - quit spouting off until you've actually played it.

  • @GumptionBrash

    1) The original was a PC exclusive game, half-assed console ports didn't happen until much later.

  • @GumptionBrash 2) "People" also said DX2 was "a great deal like the first one" as well...and either they hadn't ever actually played the first one or much more likely they were just the typical "game reviewer" shill that are always around. What makes you think DX3 will be any different? Especially since every game-play preview they've released has made it clear they're just doubling down on the fiasco that was DX2?

  • All the pc gamers can screw off about how consoles suck. Come back when your gpu isn't shackled by direct x.

  • Looks like a simple version of MGS.

  • i know it's meant for PC... but it's gonna be glorious on PS3 :)

  • Wow, what complete crap. This one is going to fail just as hard as DX2 did, probably harder.

Why does one of the greatest games in video game history inspire such completely shitty sequels?! The franchise needs to be sold to someone like Valve or Rock Star who'll actually do it justice.

Deus Ex 3: Fail Hard With A Vengeance

  • @zenin4711 doubt valve or rockstar would do better. they're just out to make money like anybody else. gotta feed those kids. and i thought invisible war was pretty good.
