I just couldn't get a grip on this story mode. It was waaaay too hard just for normal difficulty, the minigames didn't impress me (especially the checkpoint runs), and the lack of Cell Games/World Tournament as an alternate source of cash or entertainment really annoyed me. I didn't think the effor was worth unlocking most of the same stuff, so I bought Budokai 3 instead.

If only the positives of both Infinite World and Budokai 3 could be put into a PS3 game...

Oh, and GET CELL'S VOICE RIGHT!

Lol I never really noticed the lack of a tournament mode xD but yeah the difficulty was a shock at first and I raged quit but it's a good add on (: comboing is really nice now.. Good review

I got used to this game in a flash! how ill tell ya because i used the shin budokai and i was surprised it had the same controls in budokai 3 i stunk because i didn't know how to charge. INFINTE WORLD 100/100 BUDOKAI 3 99/100.

Great!So my first console was a PSP(yeah,I no gamer),I have played Shin Budokai Another Road for over a year and I mastered the Z rank,now I finally got my PS2 and,lucky me,I found Infinite World at a very good price,so I'm getting it this week.So its Budokai 3(one of the best DBZ games ever)+Shin Budokai,there to help me get in the Budokai world.I cant wait!

Back when the original Budokai came up I was up all night back in the day for weeks on end. I purchased B2 and eventually B3 day one too. They were my favorite games and even though I do not own a PS2 I still have extra copies on the gamecube of B1 and B2. This is essentially a B4 and I am so happy that this exists yet so unhappy I don't have a PS2. Awesome review, I never knew of your channel but I subscribed. You are a fair reviewer, who isn't blinded by graphics/online, simply awesome man!!!!

I own a PS2, and I enjoyed Budokai 1 back in the day. However, i'll be honest, the graphics and the gameplay both kinda suck... :(

So I have a dilemma. I want to buy Budokai 3. But, Infinite World IS Budokai 3...only with some changes, mostly for the better, but with a few bad desicions.

So here's my question: Which game should I buy? I sure as hell wont buy BOTH, since they are so simular, but I just can't make up my mind. Input?

@treverpatey I guess that's one way to put it. I would consider to be more of a consolation for those who don't own a current-generation console. As I said in the review, I'm glad Dimps were smart enough to realize that not everyone owns a 360 or a PS3. Now I can only hope that someday game developers will wake up and realize that online play isn't as important to a game as its cracked up to be.

this game is better than budokai 3 in my opinion becuz if you want to go all the way to ssj4 (goku) all yo have to do is use the transform capsule but in b3 you have to put the ssj1,2,3,4 capsules..

@MyGodzilla99 no you don't.... you use Kaoiken. THEN stack on the SSJs, plus the abilities. plus the things that take several slots. They did have Breakthrough and a better Story Mode, but that's about it. Dragon Rushes and Hyper Mode suck.

@MannyFresh1254 The reason this is so bad is that they just rehashed budokai 2 and then gave us a mediocre story mode, shitty minigames, and also takes out a lot of the features that gave the other games replay value.

I was actually frustrated with this game at first, but as I went on I got Really good at this game. I beat it in about 5 hours. Not that bad because of how hard it was.
