Turks were spread on the island and were 18 percent as a population , do you believe that was it possible to be the aggressor for them ?? @vakasim Man,Cyprus was a part of Greece+was (only legally,but never spiritually)detached from Greece,exactly because we wanted to maintain peace.And yes,there were some(but certainly not the majority) that did not like the Turks in the island, but did you ever wonder why??There are many people from other countries living in Cyprus +no Cypriot attacked them. The issues with the Turks were happening because, again some -not all Turks were provoking them wanting to gain ownership of this place.

Turks were liing in peace with greeks too , it was enossis spoiled it, enossis is older than partition (taksim) and eoka is older than TMT. I'm not blaming the greek majority on the island but the thing happened was a force used by the minority in the island this minority managed to nullify majority's will in 1974 , and greece and uk did nothing , and greek cypriots couldn't either. The minority was about te reach its goal.

According to that plan turkish troops would be withdrew in 19 years schedule and that plan was giving back fmagusta back to greek cypriots. There would be a federation under one flag. It is not true that turkey didn't accept to withdraw. And it was a UN plan not turkish plan to be recognised a trap.
