  • Wow might have to try this sometime....... would be shit scary if a fucking hunter jumped out at u in 3D!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HOLY SHIT THAT'S CRAZY!

  • Do you have the colors? I want to print the colors..^^

  • Este juego es el doble de tenebroso en

    3D ha ha ha

  • esa webada mas da risa

  • how does the anaglyph compare to stereoscopic? I've seen the Nvidia one before, had a bit of depth, but nothing really came out of the screen. So how does the IZ3D polarized look?

  • Hi cdcdude, having stuff flying out of the screen is independant of the screen technology, it only depends on the content.

Both nvidia and iZ3D allow the user to customize the settings to make stuff fly out of the screen but these settings are difficult to watch over long periods of time, which is why the default settings on all games are usually conservative and mostly use depth with very little, if any out-of-screen effects

  • @BlackSharkfr this driver sucks, it doesn't look 3d, it does pop out or in, but all objects seem to have the same depth

  • now that nvidia has added anaglyph 3d gaming to there newer drivers/cards I my just play this. and im sure nvidias stereoscopic glasses are way better. im just not about to fork over $300+ for a monitor that only supports 1680x1050 max. i require 1920x1080+ and ive looked and the only 2 that support that are not sold anyware? so anaglyph 3d will work just fine for now. btw WoW looks really good with it. there is a long list of games they made that support this now some better than others.

  • It looks the same just in different colors...

  • you need 3D glasses

  • is it 3d ingame ?!

  • naw somebody made it 3D just so you can watch it like that, the actual game isnt, would be cool though :P

  • Yes the game is in 3D, thanks to a piece of software called the iZ3D driver.

Just launch the iZ3D driver before starting a game and it will turn the game into 3D. There's a keyboard shortcut to switch between 2D and 3D anytime you want during the game.

  • wow sounds nice... thx

and by the way as u should know there is more than one opputunity (hopefully i spelled it right:D) than blue/red can u also swith from red/blu to, for example, yellow/blue ?

or is it just this one opputunity ?

  • yes you can switch between red/cyan and yellow/blue, but the driver can also use more advanced 3D systems similar to what is used in 3D cinemas, but you need special displays for that.

Check the iZ3D website for more informations about the capabilities of the iz3d driver.

  • Is this thing like a switch? meaning, can I turn it on and off easily? thats the only question preventing me from doing this.

  • Also, I read there's a way to use this without the special monitor, is this true?

  • Yes, you can do it with any monitor using anaglyph glasses (red/cyan or yellow/blue). But you loose most of the colour ant it gives headaches quite quickly.

You can still use anaglyph to test 3D quickly but if you really want to play your games and enjoy them you need a 3D monitor.

  • @BlackSharkfr Hey blackshark i was wondering Crysis 2 was announced to be in full stereoscopic 3D now how will this come into play without a 3D monitor? will AT and Nvidia release a 3D driver for this? or will we need to download some sort of 3rd party program from crytek thanks. Also will you require a 3D monitor for this?

  • YouTube has an HD feature now, it just sucks now that it uses 50% of my CPU.

  • l love this game it freaks me out when im home alone though just like fear 2

  • no extra memory but 40% more cpu usage

  • how did you get it in 3d? and you should of let the hunter attack you so it would be out of the screen.

  • so If I were to get Left 4 Dead for the PC, I could play the game in 3D???!!?? O.O

  • yes

  • -geeks out-

    freakin' awesome!!!

does it require alot of hardware to play it on PC or should it work well on a fairly new laptop?

  • If your computer can display the games then it can do it in 3D too.

Then about performance, 3D requires to generate the image twice (once for each eye) so expect a framerate drop by about 50%. You can check what's your framerate on your current laptop with fraps.

  • If you have a very powerful gaming laptop then it should be ok but these laptops are very very expansive and are not even equipped with the most powerful graphics cards.

So I would not recommand laptops for gaming in 3D. You will get much better gaming bang for your buck on a desktop with the latest graphics card.

  • well in that case I would probably have to go out and buy a new Graphics card then right?

because my PC is like 4 years old and it couldn't even handle a demo for that WatchMen game. and I tried it on the new laptop my dad recently bough and it doesn't have the right graphics card either..

  • Imagine F.E.A.R 2 in 3D, xD.

As if this aint scarey enough, lol

    **5***!

  • I have not bought FEAR2 yet, but the demo plays extremely well in 3D.

  • fear 2 is not scary not to be mean but yea

  • FEAR 2 not scary? what did you play it in the middle of the day with the sound low and people around?

If you have a Sub and loud speakers, and your in the middle of the night, lights out alone, and playing that game it starts to get a bit freaky... ?

  • i play it loud thats thats the way to play games and at night becuase the glow of the tv idk why but it doesent seem scary to me

  • It's such a generic sort of horror though. Nothing's unexpected and it uses the same tired old motifs (oh noes, a creepy demon girl, and now ghosts). I really don't see how people can find it scary unless you just jump at any loud noise.

  • xD, i jump at the loud noises, creeps me out and gets my heart racing...

    But yeh i guess....

  • headphones

    dats even better

  • dude, i only ever played Left 4 Dead in 2D

but it still makes me jump!, this has gotta be freaky right?

  • about this can you toggle it?

  • Yes you can toggle it at any moment.

iZ3D uses the keyboard shortcut : numpad *

  • Hey,

I was wondering about this driver, I have downloaded it, but how do I apply the anaglyph 3d into the actual game? A reply or PM would be very nice. Thanks :)

  • open the iZ3D control center, in the DirectX settings, check enable by hotkey, select anaglyph output and the colour of your glasses, click apply.

Learn the hotkeys in the profile settings, launch a DirectX game.

Separation hotkeys tweak the strength of the 3D effect

Convergence hotkeys tweak the distance at which you locate your actual monitor (the amount of depth vs. in-your-face effect)

  • Okay, thanks.

It doesn't work when I press the hotkey to turn the anaglyph on though( the * key ? ). Thank you for your support anyways :)

  • does the monitor slow down your performance at all like the nvidia 3d stuff?

  • The 3D monitor does not impact performande but 3D rendering always does since you have to render frames for both eyes.

Framerate reduction depends on the graphics card only and varies between 0% (game saturating the cpu) and 50% (game saturating the gpu)

  • good to know. cause i was thinking of getting one but my system would fall to its knees if any sort of 50% percent load taxed it in games. and ive read that iz3d is not yet compatible with crossfirex because cfx only does 1 monitor output in cfx mode. so that just furthers my problem

  • What is this 3D point?

This game looks same without this.

    3D just gives bad colors

  • You DO realize that you have to use color glasses (like red/blue) to experience the 3D effect?
