When doing a touchscreen test doing drawing with straight lines, you need to do that slow. If you go fast, the touchscreen only registers a few points of touch since it can only refresh a certain amount of times per second. With less points of tracking to refer to when making a line, the computer assumes the lines between those were straight, and therefore give you straight lines. Do it slowly.
i,ve just spent 5+ minutes checking out a guy writing very slow on a lill grid on a touchscreen...."Are you ready" ....ready for what? I,d rather type....thats why i like my non touchscreen PC.
kiddshop sells the kits on ebay $50 usd, there is alot of pictures showing the installation without the bulge, i plan on gettn one, the only down side is that you have to sacrifice your webcam connection, but thats not a problem if you dont use it.
yes true but for the price of a eee pc , whocares about warranty. buy it to have fun and doing mods are fun. HOWever some dude made a brief thread on wiring the touchscreen without any soldering basically using the supplied usb cable to plug in etternaly. goodluck
I think total is US90 is very cheap, because this touch screen is fast respond time. The Transmittance % higher, the clearance is better. High quality spec.
It would be great if the shipping was $10 instead of $25. Just a thought. Make these things more affordable. I doubt it costs $25 to ship something as light as a touchscreen!

I think this particular kit is solderless. Haven't seen them advertising on ebay for a few weeks though.

perty sweet, but from the other eeepcs with the touchscreens its a pain to install, and at 1/3 the price of the laptop, its very expensive.
