I rode this last Memorial Day. We didn't quite make the top and did a Rollback, I considder myself lucky to launch twice.  I see this as one ofthe best launch coasters in the business and I have been on a few. One would normally have to ride a Hypercoaster to reach 70mph on a train. The visual effects were great.

I hate this ride. Mainly cause they took out some of my favorite rides as a kid to put this Volcano ride there. If anybody is old enough to remember King's Dominion from the 80's/early 90's, you'll remember that there use to be smurf mountain, time shaft, and the haunted river in that mountain area of the park. I loved all those rides But they took all those rides out in 97-98 to make the Volcano rollar coaster. :-(

King's Dominion has great rides, but stay out of the water park. The wave pool is toxic. Best time is a Sunday evening/night in October.

Whoever has not rode the ride, just in case you don't know how the ride goes but seen it before, people board the ride, make a slow turn and about 8 seconds after you turn a booster on the track boosts the ride at about 82 miles an hour, you will end up make extreme turns an then boosting up into the volcano shooting up out of the hole on the mountain and will do barrel rolls in mid-air, and drop back into the side of the volcano and the ride will slow at miles 10 miles an hour.soz if ruin it

THIS RIDE IS SO MUCH FUN!!!! When I went on monday the ride broke down and 2/3 of the people in line left so then it onlly took me and my friends 45 min. to get on because of where we were at in line, they had to fix it, and they also had to do two test runs but this ride is so cool!

@FunAndOnly I'm pretty sure it's just like how they made Mt. Everest for Expedition Everest. I'm not sure what it's made out of. Concrete, maybe? But that would be hard to get rid of. And volcanoes only form between plates. And it would not be possible to build in the middle of the volcano, and there would be too much of a threat.

@babygurl59033 not really crowded i go every weekend cuz i gotta vip pass. it seems crowded but not really. but this ride usually takes like an hour and a half to two hourz tho. but the others take only like 10 minutes. this is the most popular ride in the park so that's why it takes so long.

I've been on this ride and its not scary at all. I went there after I went to New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. It was an eighth grade field trip. It was actually fun!!!
