  • @dodgecrazy1970 You may also want to get a computer test. Believe it's called a "DRB 2" test? Gas mileage had dropped in my '86(2.5) as it got older and the test said I'd need an 02 sensor. This was changed and the mileage went back up to where it was years before. Problem was, it would now stall when I backed up. Regretfully I had other "sensors" changed on advice of shop. Result, no more stalling, but mileage back down! By the way, it could do in the area of 100mph. Got a $203 ticket in '93!

  • Not to put a damper on these cars, but, a word of warning. If you notice your coolant "bubbling" in your overflow container, you'll need a new head . Chrysler, in all their cost cutting wisdom, put aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. EXPANSION-COLD-HOT.But you dudes probably already know that. Don't send me bitch posts, I'm just giving you guys a heads up. My first car was an '83 600 and I had an '86 600 SE for several years. Heads can be costly and the temp will never be the same! RUN HOT!

  • My father thad the stationwagon model and I will tell you this....that thing refused to stop running. It rarely had to betaken to the repair shop, we used it for prettymuch about anything and it simply kept going. We still have it but we now use it mainly to drive around town when having a beer or just going out for a drive...awesome car. Too bad now vehicles are considerably good for 4-5 years

  • does it have the 2.2l engine? or 2.6l Mitsubishi? and does it have the wood Paneling? :D

  • @jakesaintsrow123 it has a Mitsubishi...and brother that thing has rarely seen the repair shop. It has wood paneling even though it could use a replacement.

  • cute car. where did u get it the toilet store?

  • cool!

  • Been about a year since I saw a K car on the road. There is a whole field full of these k cars, and wagons, Tempo's and Escorts. not far from my place.

  • love the video, great song u picked! reminds me of my ounger years!

  • if u need parts check out...iPartCarsDOTcom

  • fake oak trim, comes standard.

  • I still retain my 1986 Aries since the year when I bought it new (ordered. Not off the lot). It has 378,000 miles. Had tires replaced four times. I don't use it much because I have a new Dakota. The Aries needs plenty of work on it.

  • I need parts for my 84 aries, know anybody who got some.

  • @EdwardPack1988 Have you seen user "Kcarman88"? He said "If you want parts for your K car, contact me." That's all I know. You can always search online for used

or recycled parts. There are so many sellers out there.

  • Cool, what I need is a whole dash assemply, I put a hugh crack in it when I removed it for the heater core replacement. Now it rattles all the time.

  • coupe,sedan or wagon?

  • @jakesaintsrow123 Two door sedan. See my vid "1986 Dodge Aries LE Manual Shift"

  • Nice car! I got a 1989 Dodge Aries Sedan too;] Only 2.2L but its last version, 97hp. I love my little Dodge. Greeting from Poland!

  • @BartekV8 Yes they are good little cars, have fun with yours!

  • @BartekV8 i have an 82 dodge aries the second year they came out

  • Kick asphault Luxuary Cruisers. I love the one I get around in.

  • 140mph. is that right?

  • no that 140km/h. I'm Canadian, the max MPH on this speedo is 85. The fastest I've gone in it is 115km/h about 70mph. They're not fast car's, 0-60mph in this is about 14-15 seconds, lol.

  • @dodgecrazy1970 something was wrong with urs. mine would do 109 mph max and did 0-60 around 11 sec.

  • @jiggahippo, my father owned three of them. One new, and two nearly new. None of them would even do 60, not would they even make it up some steeper hills in the area, they'd just roll backwards!.

  • @shred5 really? wow! Mine was actually n ot that bad, not that good either but....

  • @jiggahippo, yup... the 82 Reliant was the best, the '86 and '89 Aries were a bit worse... the '82 was totaled and didn't break down constantly, as well as the fact that it had a nicer interior, cloth seats instead of rubber and they used some nicer materials on the older ones. That one never rolled backwards down a hill, but I'm not sure he ever tried going up any of the same hills when he had it either.

The '86 came with a one speaker AM only radio, rubber seats...

  • Nice K- I had an 87 that was Quartz Grey

  • cool!
