@desanadesa You can for the base. However, I would not recommend it for the garnish. When you are using dry vs. fresh you will use about 1/2 of the required herb. Thanks for coming by!

Excellent recipe.

While most folks prefer soup as a first course, I prefer it main course. Therefore, I have a full bowl and add a thick coating of cheese at the top (preferably Lorraine cheese) & top that with diced bacon slices that are very crispy.

You know how guys are ~ we just love bacon!
