WHAT CAN U SAY ABOUT THE MUSIC AND ALL THE PARTY SPOTS WE HAD BACK IN THE DAY HERE IN PHOENIX! STEVE`S, RIVERSIDE,THE SKATING RING@ SOUTH MOUNTAIN,CRUISING CENTRAL FROM MC DONALD`S ON CENTRAL & INDIAN SCHOOL ALL THE WAY TO THE SOUTH SIDE BUMPER TO BUMPER! I HEARD THIS SONG WHILE CRUISING WITH MY PARTNER IN HIS BROTHER`S CAR FROM ``DESTINY CAR CLUB``
I luv watching this, it takes me back to my good ole parting days with New Destiny...I dated Robert S. for a while, all fun...nothing big...I have great memories of Steves, Bimba's, and Porky's to name a few...I was too young for Dugos....Bet it was just as fun...
Chi Chooooooooo! Boy, were we all young then. After hour parties @ the hyatt. Pango @ Scene West. Gumby @ Blue Fox, or La Casita. Those were the days.
I love this band and used to have the album Rhythm of the City years ago and don't know what became of it. I loved this band, and have many fond memories when I listen to this song, wish I could download it to my IPod,,,, this is classic Phoenix at it's best. Those were the days my friends♥
BECAUSE OF ALL OF YOU NEW DESTINY I WAS INSPIRED TO BE ALL I COULD BE AND NOW I AM LIVING THE DREAM..MUCH LOVE TO ALL OF YOU & RESPECT AS WELL... CHICHO...UR TUNE IS JUST PHENOMONAL..GARY THUMBS UP MAN... ROBERT SCOTT YOU DA MAN ON THE DRUMS NONE LIKE YOU CARNALITO... GOD HATH BLESSED YOU ABOVE AND BEYOND..JUNIOR COTA STATS CHINGON..!!!! MAY YOUR ORGINAL BASS PLAYER RIP....PEACE
New Destiny was the band, if u cruised Phx, they were everywhere. At Steves on Central. At Phoenix Union Stadium, my school, etc. I wished they had a big record label to spread the love.
@TheZoner87 i hear you from one Pheonicain to another this is like the unheared soul of Phoenix music and do remeber being little and crusin Central Ave it ended when i was like 10 so was one of the last kids to cruse Central
@TheZoner87 yea im only 25 but i still remeber going all the way to the top the look over the city is beautiful and Central is one of the most talked about crusin spots till this day like there where a few DJs that came from Cali and was use to wieder blvd but came to Az when Central was going and said that it was better to cruse Central
@21armand ; Jose Cortez was the best DJ on radio at KIFN, but it was on AM radio and only on Sundays. On FM, but only at nights, Mike Reynolds. Mike Reynolds, I believe was the first DJ to play New Destiny on radio plus another band Ecstasy, they played a song called Squeeze. The first DJ at record hops at Imaculate Heart and Saint Anthony's was Stuart Sherman. But that was the 70's and early 80's. The cantinas, that's another story. You have to start with Calderon's on Buckeye Rd & 16th St.
@TheZoner87 yea i use to like when KISS was on AM and that was another oldies statoin on AM radio he use to DJ there to when i was little hell i rember Bruce Kelly on 95.3 and power 92 remeber that Wake UP call he use to do but i remeber might have been little but still memeber
