christian okoye still the best running back *to me* in tecmo super bowl. everytime someone touched him they just got flung off. thanks for posting this, good memories
Nice Dude that was really clever and it worked out perfectly. same score and time left and everything lol
Ignore McPavan. hes got his eyes and mind closed. he doesnt realize just because hes got a bias against the 49ers doesnt mean that theyre not the only team to go 5 for 5 in Superbowls. which they are. The Cowboys have 5 also BUT have lost 3 that theyve been to...So Me having an open mind, I can see that The Cowboys are in the Top 3 teams of the NFL with The 49ers as well.
at 2 years old he didnt even know what the hell he was watching....and what happened to montana (injuries ending his carreer early) should be enough incentive for new england to stop keeping him out there when they are up by 4 scores in the 4th quarter running up the score!
This one was a bit different from the other ones, I just recorded play after play until I got it right. The other ones I usually record separate plays and edit them together to make the best possible outcome.
This is awesome. Is there anyway you can make Clark Jump very high to catch the ball? Tecmo does have that feature, but might be harder to duplicate in the end zone.
Can't do it in the back of the endzone. A jump catch requires that the qb overthrow the receiver by a significant amount and he can't do that in the back of the endzone, this is as close as I can get it.
hahaha nice, the only way to make it better is if Clark and the defender were both running, and Montana over threw them, and then TSB cut to the scene where the receiver and defender both jump up in the air and the receiver comes down with the ball. Now THAT would be SWEET!
should've gotten the jumping catch animation instead of that one...since you're redoing the play in tecmo it doesn't make sense to have that low catch.
Throw the ball either at a point where the receiver can catch or it can't be caught by anybody. That's perfect coaching in such a clutch situation, and smart to boot. That's why Walsh has 3 championships and a 4th one he basically bequeathed to George Seifert.
this is awesome!!!! i have found a couple others like this and they are cool. plus has anyone seen the RBI baseball one of game 6 of the 86 world series? very cool too. Does anyone know of anymore of these?
No he wasn't. In a later interview, Montana said that Bill Walsh actually had them practicing throwing the ball high to Clark in the back of the end zone earlier that week. He admitted that at the time he didn't see the point of practicing such a specific play, seeing as how the chances of such an event happening were slim to nil. It turned out, Bill Walsh was either extremely lucky or psychic.
That's what athletically frustrated sports writers want you to think. In an interview, Joe stated that the play was designed so that only the 6'5 Clark can catch the ball. Moron
Oh yeah, also...U don't just happen to reach up and catch footballs in a championship game. It makes it sound more dramatic, but it doesn't work like that. I'm a die hard niner fan and I'd like to think that the play that gave us 5 Lombardis and 16 NFC West titles in a row was more than just luck. It was a designed play mde specificaly for to ue CLark's unusual height advantage. Sorry to burst ur bubble. Nice video by the way toad...
That still doesn't mean that Montana wasn't throwing it away. Yeah they may have been practicing it beforehand, but I think Montana just tried to get it away without being sacked. Even he said that he couldn't see over Dallas' defense, so he just threw it, but supposedly "still knew where Clark was." Yeah, okay Joe. If you made a play as memorable as that, would you ever tell anyone it was actually just a simple throw-away pass? Didn't think so, moron.
why not? not every man in the world is a coward like you might be quote-a-fag. what does a 47 year old man(who won 4 superbowls, and made many more memorable plays than just this one) have to lose by lying about it. Defensive linemen tower over quarterbacks with their huge size and outstreched arms, but if you know your offense. its not a problem, remember that the westcoast offense is a system, not pitch and catch, moron. That's why he's Joe Montana, and your a piece of shit rotting somewhere.
Quarterbacks throw the ball away to the sideline, not the endzone moron. And with les than 2 minutes left in the game on third down why the fucc would he throw the ball away. Are u sure we're talkn about the same sport? do u know what football is?
Huh?! Why would he throw the ball away? Did you not read what I typed shithead?! He didn't want to get sacked! Fuckin' idiot. Why would he throw the ball out of bounds in the endzone you ask?! How many fucking times do you see quarterbacks do that when they are about to be sacked? They do it all the time, dumbass.
AND you say 'ohhh but well other quarterbacks throw the ball to the nosebleed seats behind the endzone' Its FUCCING Joe Montana, who have u been watching?Jon Kitna? WATCH THE PLAY DIPSHIT. LOOK AT THE WAY JOE THREW THE BALL. LOOK AT CLARKS ROUTE TO THE PASS. You're a fuccin idiot.
Just cuz u like to be quoted doesnt mean the shit you get quoted on holds any truth.Stop putting out false information in fact just stop thinking with ur anus and telling the whole world about it.Its pieces of shit like u that make information in the internet not so believable whatever you do, DO NOT ever, EVER post a single letter of the alphabet on a wikipedia article
