  • Before there was "The Rachel" or even "The Farrah", there was "the Karen Valentine" (full hair with only upper layer pulled back in a tall pony tail, perk optional)

  • Is that John Landis, the guy in the interview?

  • What I loved about this show was that it showed early performances of Actors and Actresses before they became successful in their own time. Anthony Geary (Luke General Hospital), Cindy Williams, Richard Dreyfuss, Bruno Kirby and even Shaun Cassidy's Former Drummer was on the show. When I looked at Karen Valentine's Character, she was the "Original" Disease To Please Woman but you learned alot about how bad it is to be overeager?

  • Denise Nicholas... goddess of my childhood idolatry.

  • My favorite part of the beginnig was how Karen Valentine got trapped on the school bus!

  • Born too late for this but just bought season 1 on DVD. Looking forward to it! Always intrigued me when I read about it & I love the period!

  • I remember this show as a kid (in syndication) I was 2 yrs old when it premiered but I remember it making me very consciuos of the world and the people in it. I loved that time back then, television really tackled issues, and wasen't concerned with being "politically correct" Now it's just a joke!

Trash t.v. that just "dumbs down" society...It's a damn shame

  • I grew up watching this show. I was 9 when it premiered.

  • Lloyd Haynes was so handsome.

     Rest In Peace

  • @CoffySarai Why did he die so young?

  • @trwent Unfortunately, he passed away due to lung cancer on December 31, 1986.

    He was 52. :(

  • i go to this school!

  • @jolazy I remember when a big part of L.A. high school was destroyed in the 1971 Sylmar earthquake and had to be torn down.

  • @racer500gp yea! i saw pictures of la high before it was destroyed it looked like some fancy private school but now... it looks like a prison

  • One of the best shows ever! It influenced me in going to school to become a teacher. Sadly, public schools today are not what they used to be. Some students would be bad but it was nothing like today. Room 222 was the way it was like in school during the seventies. It wasn't sugarcoated. it was real.

  • @joshjae that show was full of magic negros...lol

  • Season two will finally be coming to DVD in Jan. you can pre order on Shout! Factory's website, it will only be available through there.

  • This was a Great show.

  • I am buying this today!

  • Awesome show, awesome theme song.
