Before there was "The Rachel" or even "The Farrah", there was "the Karen Valentine" (full hair with only upper layer pulled back in a tall pony tail, perk optional)
What I loved about this show was that it showed early performances of Actors and Actresses before they became successful in their own time. Anthony Geary (Luke General Hospital), Cindy Williams, Richard Dreyfuss, Bruno Kirby and even Shaun Cassidy's Former Drummer was on the show. When I looked at Karen Valentine's Character, she was the "Original" Disease To Please Woman but you learned alot about how bad it is to be overeager?
I remember this show as a kid (in syndication) I was 2 yrs old when it premiered but I remember it making me very consciuos of the world and the people in it. I loved that time back then, television really tackled issues, and wasen't concerned with being "politically correct" Now it's just a joke!
Trash t.v. that just "dumbs down" society...It's a damn shame
One of the best shows ever! It influenced me in going to school to become a teacher. Sadly, public schools today are not what they used to be. Some students would be bad but it was nothing like today. Room 222 was the way it was like in school during the seventies. It wasn't sugarcoated. it was real.
