i put a very large heatmatt on it, which worked fine, it just must have been a bloody cold winter, and our house is about 300 years old and very big, so its hard to keep the house warm in winter

The only bad thing is that the bite of them is very painful and I got bit by my regalis, that was terrible...since that day I dont handle any spider anymore :(

My fasciata is more skittish. She hunkers down with her legs and is more difficult to persuade to walk on my hand. I have done it, but I was a little drunk at the time, but still focused and cautious. That was the first time I did it w/o gloves. Its not so bad. Sometimes they calm down. Just don't touch them during handling, cause they bolt or may bite. Im just telling the ones who haven't handled poekies before. You look like you know what you are doing piggy.

I've only ever had one girl (my girlfriend at the time) want to hold my avic avic. Thats the only one i let people handle. So, wherever you live Your blessed, marry one of those girls NOW!!! lol, I wish more people could be open minded about T's.

@cdemanelis when people come to my house and act closed-minded about my T's, I tell them that yeah if they get bit its instant death and that tarantulas can jump ten feet and run 30mph and i inform them that i think the lid is broken on a couple of the critter keepers. Such beautiful creatures. I have a Poecilotheria Metallica, but it's the quickest tarantula I own and I don't want it getting hurt or hurting me so I don't handle it. Haha. I did once, but I had no choice, it ran out of its enclosure onto my hand instead of its new enclosure like I had intended.

1) you're brave because Peocilotheria's spiders are the most of the time aggressive, and it's venom is pretty toxic...
