@ThePCForever I've not heard of dyed coolant ruining anyone's watercooling system actually. Usually it's algae growth, which looks like the dye due to it absorbing it, and changing color.
Why do people put the rad after the pump? I am under the impression that if there IS any heat generated, it would cause extra ware on the pump. I would rather have flow go pump-cpu-gpu-chipset-rad-res before going back to pump. Could you give me your thoughts?

Awesome video. Could you make one about putting in the case. It doesn't look to hard but I want to make sure my first one goes as smooth as possible. Thanks
The fans are used to help cool the radator if you live in A hot area, in the summser it get 110 f where I live, & -10 c in the winter, so water cooling is A good idea for for summer time
cool video and good tips.. I'm doing my first water cooled system pretty soon here, can't wait for the 7000series. Was impressed with your water pouring skills.. I've seen countless videos of people spilling with funnels....
I dunno, but I'm pretty sure you want your coolant flowing into the Pump, to the Block to the Radiator and back into the Reservoir where it remains at a consistent temp.
Hi lethalhammer, I've just upgraded my system recently, buying a new motherboard, 2600K and a Corsair H70 liquid cooler. I know that this cooler is clearly not on the level of good liquid cooling loops, butI still wanted to ask, will it make a great difference, to get a proper loop, and maybe include my "old" 4870X2 GPU (given I can still find a waterblock for it).I can only fit a 120 inside my case, but have enough space and water cooling holes, to have an external 240 or 360. thanks
Nice video. Question: I noticed you have your liquid coming out of the pump going into the radiator then to the cpu, then back to the reservoir. Doing it that way, it seems to me that your keeping more liquid heat in the reservoir and pump which in time will weaken them. Why not have the liquid from the reservoir feed into the pump, then into the cpu and then to the Radiator. This way you keep the temperature in the pump and reservoir cooler and let the radiator do all the cooling.
Do pumps fail frequently, because i have been shopping all over and found a good little EK pump that has RPM monitoring and does not suck a rediculous amount of power, do pumps fail, and do they reach their actual MTBF
Fittings don't come with anything, that's why when you add fittings for the radiator, res, etc etc they add money to the cost. IE DangerDen it cost's $4 extra per part for barbs and $12 extra per part for compression fittings. You may want to clarify that for the people new to water cooling.
Dude. I cannot tell you how much this helped me. Thank you for making something so simply straightforward. I', assuming if oyu want to add a graphics card to the system, you just add in more tube and fittings to go with it?
Hey, I'm going to be doing my first watercooled pc soon, is there a company u would most recommend? Koolance, Danger Den, EK, or Swiftech?Or does each company have their strengths and weaknesses? Thanks.
@GodOfThunder6661 Every company is about the same these days. It is now more of how their products look to you. head on over to lethalpc.com and we have a list of trusted vendors on the right side of the website.
@Lethalhammer Does a pre built pc like from Cyberpowerpcs or ibuypower come with tubing? or do i have to buy it myself and install it my self? if so where can i buy from and what do you recommend
@Lethalhammer Can I do the leak testing like this without having it to mount it all onto the cpu and everything and leave it running on till no bubbles shows and then put it back into the motherboard cpu ? would that be a good idea?
@Lethalhammer Also tell me if this would work together Swiftech H20-220 ULTIMA XT Complete Liquid Cool Kit. EK-Supreme HF High Flow-Highest Performance CPU Water Block - NK - Blue Plexi/Chrome that will be my setup for my system and then later in the future i might be getting EK-FC6870 for AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6870 Series - Nickel thanks man let me know if you think all this will work or do i have to choose the same brand name
@youboon The water is bubbly as the loop is very small |(as stated in the video) After turning it on anf off a few times all the bubbles go away. Also UV dye is bad...
@CRAKIZGOOD Thats why we have more videos in the works... this was a general overview. I have individual videos for each component in a system coming soon.
Hey mate, quick question since I'm looking into building my first loop: Do you know if the XSPC bay/pump combos are worth using? It's just a simple CPU loop with a 360 rad so nothing big.
<3 you ^^ Where where you a few months ago when I was staring out? awesome video. Wish that New Zealand had the range of products you have as it costs so much to import
I have a question about sticking your tubes on the fitting. Would it help if you could heat up the tube by putting it in hot water? or do you think it could possible damage the tubing and you could get a leak
@Kylereeves13 I use hot water all the time. Its a great way to help install them easier. Just know they will be flexible and let them cool off if your not using clamps. If your using compression fittings that don't worry at all.
I normal fill the bath tub up and sock the entire 10ft. I seal off the ends and hard water/ tap water can cause issues in the loop.
doesn't dyed coolant ruin your components?
