  • doesn't dyed coolant ruin your components?

  • @ThePCForever No, not necessarily.

  • @Helge129 So which ones don't?

  • @ThePCForever I've not heard of dyed coolant ruining anyone's watercooling system actually. Usually it's algae growth, which looks like the dye due to it absorbing it, and changing color.

  • run it with bleach and chocolate instead of water :)

  • why dont you just run a tube from the res and into the bucket and then jumper the PSU so the pump drains it for you?

  • where you get the water cooling parts

  • would there be a benifit of using 2 more fans on the other side of the rad....

  • @skaterguy1423 Yes.

  • I do pump>cpu>gpu>rad>res

It hits the CPU with max pressure.

  • I just jump the green and black with a paper clip to start the psu

  • Can you do a video of you draining your system? I'm lost whats the best way to drain it? Just disconnect a hose and drain it into a bottle or what?

  • reservoir is a french word mate

  • @biaop1

    Your point?

  • @TheIrredeemable speak the right words moron

  • @biaop1

What the fuck are you going on about?

  • @TheIrredeemable ure saying it wrong fucking forrest gump dipshit

  • @biaop1 Wow, mate......You really are stupid.

  • Can you use milk?

  • Why do people put the rad after the pump? I am under the impression that if there IS any heat generated, it would cause extra ware on the pump. I would rather have flow go pump-cpu-gpu-chipset-rad-res before going back to pump. Could you give me your thoughts?

  • Awesome video. Could you make one about putting in the case. It doesn't look to hard but I want to make sure my first one goes as smooth as possible. Thanks

  • The fans are used to help cool the radator if you live in A hot area, in the summser it get 110 f where I live, & -10 c in the winter, so water cooling is A good idea for for summer time

  • cool video and good tips.. I'm doing my first water cooled system pretty soon here, can't wait for the 7000series. Was impressed with your water pouring skills.. I've seen countless videos of people spilling with funnels....

  • There are no 'locks' to the tubes connected to the reservoir and rad?

  • do u recommend this for the gtx 580 hydro copper

  • water cooling 101: use cheap fittings, use foam as coolant, spring a leak. as this video shows.

  • I just want to water cooled my graphics card, is it possible ?

  • @JaCieKochams2

    Yes it is

  • whats the use of fan in water cooling? i thought water cooling is like a refrigerator inside your pc

  • @pivan23 It cools off the water after it comes from the blocks.

  • I dunno, but I'm pretty sure you want your coolant flowing into the Pump, to the Block to the Radiator and back into the Reservoir where it remains at a consistent temp.

  • thank a lot man, now i understand the whole thing, you make thing lock very simple nad easy to understand, thank again.

  • Hi lethalhammer, I've just upgraded my system recently, buying a new motherboard, 2600K and a Corsair H70 liquid cooler. I know that this cooler is clearly not on the level of good liquid cooling loops, butI still wanted to ask, will it make a great difference, to get a proper loop, and maybe include my "old" 4870X2 GPU (given I can still find a waterblock for it).I can only fit a 120 inside my case, but have enough space and water cooling holes, to have an external 240 or 360. thanks

  • Great video, but may be for "101" you should've used clamps on barbs just for making a good example and promoting good habits.

  • I just wanna water cool my gtx 580 is this kit good for it.. ??

  • If your gonna water gool gpu's get sli make the water cooling worth it@KINGhotaru11

  • Nice video. Question: I noticed you have your liquid coming out of the pump going into the radiator then to the cpu, then back to the reservoir. Doing it that way, it seems to me that your keeping more liquid heat in the reservoir and pump which in time will weaken them. Why not have the liquid from the reservoir feed into the pump, then into the cpu and then to the Radiator. This way you keep the temperature in the pump and reservoir cooler and let the radiator do all the cooling.

  • Do pumps fail frequently, because i have been shopping all over and found a good little EK pump that has RPM monitoring and does not suck a rediculous amount of power, do pumps fail, and do they reach their actual MTBF

  • damn lol a leak already.. this is why i dont want this! ahhh

  • Fittings don't come with anything, that's why when you add fittings for the radiator, res, etc etc they add money to the cost. IE DangerDen it cost's $4 extra per part for barbs and $12 extra per part for compression fittings. You may want to clarify that for the people new to water cooling.

  • Dude. I cannot tell you how much this helped me. Thank you for making something so simply straightforward. I', assuming if oyu want to add a graphics card to the system, you just add in more tube and fittings to go with it?

  • Great intro video. Simple and straight forward.

  • how do you drain it if your rad is higher than your res?

  • @yamum248 pretty easy, i hear that the water will just drain out and back into the res

  • Could i possibly buy that radiator from you?

  • @mikey9890 Not for sale.

  • Hey, I'm going to be doing my first watercooled pc soon, is there a company u would most recommend? Koolance, Danger Den, EK, or Swiftech?Or does each company have their strengths and weaknesses? Thanks.

  • @GodOfThunder6661 Every company is about the same these days. It is now more of how their products look to you. head on over to lethalpc.com and we have a list of trusted vendors on the right side of the website.

  • @Lethalhammer Does a pre built pc like from Cyberpowerpcs or ibuypower come with tubing? or do i have to buy it myself and install it my self? if so where can i buy from and what do you recommend

  • there are pumps and cpu blocks that come with fittings aswell

  • @RoyalPCmods That is true, but I was speaking to the components in the video.

  • @Lethalhammer Can I do the leak testing like this without having it to mount it all onto the cpu and everything and leave it running on till no bubbles shows and then put it back into the motherboard cpu ? would that be a good idea?

  • @Mupp1t Yes you can do that.

  • @Lethalhammer Also tell me if this would work together Swiftech H20-220 ULTIMA XT Complete Liquid Cool Kit. EK-Supreme HF High Flow-Highest Performance CPU Water Block - NK - Blue Plexi/Chrome that will be my setup for my system and then later in the future i might be getting EK-FC6870 for AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6870 Series - Nickel thanks man let me know if you think all this will work or do i have to choose the same brand name

  • like your vids dude but that was FAIL lol.

  • I love your vids

  • cool vid, bro.

wouldn't it be wiser to use those tube clams around the fittings though?

also, is it normal for the water to look so bubbly? it looked soapy to me. if i ever watercooled i'd go with some uv dye stuff.

  • @youboon The water is bubbly as the loop is very small |(as stated in the video) After turning it on anf off a few times all the bubbles go away. Also UV dye is bad...

  • u forgot to talk about tube sizes and fittings etc

+ its very important to talk about the dangers of using dyes

  • @CRAKIZGOOD Thats why we have more videos in the works... this was a general overview. I have individual videos for each component in a system coming soon.

  • i love your tubing !!!! nice end clean ! pleese tel my the id of this tubing ? in " mm " thx

  • Hey mate, quick question since I'm looking into building my first loop: Do you know if the XSPC bay/pump combos are worth using? It's just a simple CPU loop with a 360 rad so nothing big.

  • @daralinn They are a great option. They also eliminate the need for 2 fittings as the pump is built in.

  • <3 you ^^ Where where you a few months ago when I was staring out? awesome video. Wish that New Zealand had the range of products you have as it costs so much to import

  • I have a question about sticking your tubes on the fitting. Would it help if you could heat up the tube by putting it in hot water? or do you think it could possible damage the tubing and you could get a leak

  • @Kylereeves13 I use hot water all the time. Its a great way to help install them easier. Just know they will be flexible and let them cool off if your not using clamps. If your using compression fittings that don't worry at all.

I normal fill the bath tub up and sock the entire 10ft. I seal off the ends and hard water/ tap water can cause issues in the loop.

  • Thank you. Your series is literally the only in depth water-cooling video's on Youtube.

  • @rooked236 I will be breaking out these Water Cooling 101 videos in more detail shortly.
