  • where can I find these rare recordings ?

  • yeppers a classic any way ya sllice it!

  • A drum and bass remix to this would be better

  • Well The Stones just may be a better blues cover band (barely) than Led Zeppelin, but the greatest rock band of all time remains Led Zeppelin.

  • Steven Tyler said that when he first saw them in '69 they played the first album and the crowd wouldn't let them leave the stage, so they played a bunch of Elvis and other 50's songs.

  • Just in case anybody cares, this was from the 09/04/70 show at the LA Forum. It's on an old LP bootleg of the same name and the entire album was just awesome. Led Zeppelin were the biggest fans of early, true Rock & Roll music. Almost always, they played a bunch of those old songs-and then still managed to fit in all the Zeppelin songs everybody wanted to hear. I saw them live at MSG in 1977 and it was a life-changing event for me. Led Zeppelin rules...

  • Everyone needs to stop bitching. Did anyone bitch when elvis copied blue suede shoes? No he made it his own. Zepplin owned this song, they were most likely having fun. Who cares what you haters think? Clearly the audiance loved it

  • Man, thanks for posting this! This was always one of my favorite bootlegs. I had it on vinyl, but I've no idea what became of it. I bet I haven't heard this in 25 years. Great stuff!

  • @67goldtops why didn't zeppelin just say they wrote this like they did with so many other songs they ripped off.

  • @45arther

LOL. No joke. I'm sure they would have just claimed it as their own if they had recorded it in the studio.

  • @45arther why is it that instances of copyrighty infringement do not concern or bother any of the subsequent musicians who love Led Zeppelin , like Niel Young , Paul McCartney , Joe Perry , Dave Grohl , Kieth Moon , Dave Mustaine , David Gilmour , Brian May etc but it bothers self important shitheads like you ?

  • @RisingSon011 Yes I am sure there are aware that Zeppelin is a great cover band also. I think they are a great cover band. Whats your point. I stated some facts son. facts are always good.

  • @45arther I am not your son shitwad. And yes , Zeppelin is the best blues cover band of all time . But to imply that's all they were is blind and simpleminded.Tell me , did you get your info from your vast knowledge of the blues , or did you get this from some vid on youtube about plagiarism ? uh huh . that what I thought

  • @RisingSon011 i got it from my vast knoweldge of the blues and from videos and articles proving that zeppelin is a cover band. by the way the stones are the best blues cover band ever. zeppelin is very good also.

  • @RisingSon011

No knowledgable Led Zep would contest the fact that Led Zep shamelessly ripped-off many songs. They were sued several times, most recently in 2010 by Jake Holmes over Dazed & Confused.

You look a real dick with your name dropping and denying well known facts.

  • @lynchie3000 whose denying anything ? I think you had better reread my comment ,fool . Its common knowledge that they were sued . As a matter of fact , I'd bet I knew all about where these songs came from long before you , and I knew it from actually collecting and playing blues music , not from shit I read on the internet . But insinuating that all they did was cover songs is exaggerating the case, and shows that you havent actually listened . Go read the tabloids, shitstain .

  • @RisingSon011

Yep, you look even more of a dick now.

  • @RisingSon011 Who cares, moron?

  • @foolishpen your sister

  • Encore from one of my all time favourite bootlegs! Joy...

  • A live video would have been a plus.

  • Putin did a cover of this (true). Boy, he needed Page at that time.

  • i don´t know this version, but it´s great...Fun pure

  • this is a band having pure fun at stage !!

  • * * * * *

  • Too Cool I Have This Record One Of My Prized Possessions

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know which concert that first picture is from?

  • Fascinating and cool. That's all.

  • ugh... dislike

  • @ERNESTOROCK Imbecile. They played it well FOR THEIR STYLE. But their version doesn't capture the true feel of the song. It just wasn't written with the intention of being played with distortion and said things. It is obviously an oldies song, let's keep it that way. Thanks for downing my opinion, bastard :D

  • roberts voice is unike in every way.

  • @RickyRocker821 So what, no one complained about them reworking when the levee breaks...did you even know it was a cover..no you probably didn't.

  • @MannyJazzcats i think you've got the wrong comment.

  • exactly where is this located?

where is this concert hall located

  • @MichaelHansenFUN

This is at the LA Forum, not "Blueberry Hill".. that's just the title of the bootleg :P

  • @mcbane12 decent sounding audience tape. I hear the LA FORUM was easy to bootleg because of the open bathroom window. I think I may have a recording of all the zep covers, you read about them in HAMMER OF THE GODS, someone should make a comp. I like that robert is singing low.

  • Well thats a new quiz question..........What do Robert Plant and Vladimir Putin have in common?

  • closing number from their 9/4/70 show at the LA Forum

  • zeppelin rocks.

  • I think i came.

  • oh my God!!! this is great!! my heart is full of blues....

  • not talking about the theme played, but this venue , must have been quite good.

  • fuck zeppelin. they can't play the blues or r&b. that being said, i love their original stuff...all of it.

  • @erasedbythesun lol :(

  • @erasedbythesun How can you start your sentence saying "fuck zeppelin" and then say you love all of their originals. Obviously music is an opinion so im not gonna argue your opinion. I will argue that they cant play the blues. They may have taken old blues songs and put their own twist on them but to say they cant play the blues and to "fuck them" because of it is senseless. I Can't Quit You Babe is textbook blues. Page can play anything he wants to, and compete with the best no matter the style

  • @TheSwampApes there is no such thing a textbook blues.

  • @erasedbythesun Their old original stuff WAS bluesy!!!

    I Can't Quit You Baby

    In My Time of Dying

When the Levee Breaks (not an original song, but Page's original music)

    Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

    Heartbreaker

Led Zeppelin were more than one specific music category.

  • @scarredman42 Doing something bluesy is not playing the blues. Think of it like this. When you dress up like a woman, like you like to do, you’re doing something girly, but you’re not a real girl.

  • @erasedbythesun I dont understand you. Its a very stupid comparison. I understand that dressing up like a woman isnt the same thing that being a woman. But where is the difference when you play blues and doing something bluesy? I Can´t Quit You Baby or In My Time Of Dying are blues for sure so whats playing the blues for you? And whats doing something bluesy for you?

  • @GoodbyeBieber2 Obviously you didn't read or couldn't comprehend my original comment. I'll say it again. I like Zepplin, I just think they suck at the blues.

  • @erasedbythesun Who do you actual think who you are? A musician? A professor? I can tell you who you are: N O B O D Y! And when i ask a question i usually anticipate a answer. Lout!

  • @GoodbyeBieber2 thanks.

  • @erasedbythesun Youre welcome

  • @erasedbythesun some people cannot express themselves without saying something obscene or being an idiot . And also , where your alum hotshot ? Lets hear your blues

  • @erasedbythesun well you saying it don't make it so . Sorry is right . That you are

  • @RisingSon011 so you heard my stuff, still waiting to hear yours. Let me guess, you don't have shit. All you can do is run you mouth and can't back it up...so typical.

  • @erasedbythesun what ?

  • @RisingSon011 what do you mean what? tell us all where we can here your art. I'm dying to hear it.

  • Fats Domino kicks ass, even Led Zeppelin thinks so.

  • At least he appreciates Fats Domino...give him credit for paying tribute to Fats Domino!

  • Great song, but this version is absolutely awful. Take the fuckin mic alittle farther from your mouth, christ.

  • @mooseoftoose Itsa BOOTLEG!

  • @poolpig its a TRAP!

  • @kafrrros RUN!!!

  • 8 people are faggots.

  • the greatest band ever

  • wrong speed wtvr

  • I didn't know God sang blueberry hill!!!

  • robert plant is amazing... and nice solo by page

  • I like fat dominos more. Still, a good cover!

  • @RockSteadyyyyy yeah, its a great cover but not really rhe right style for the song!

  • @beatlezrawesome Its a cover, it can be any style they want.

  • Far fucking out

  • This is cool as fuck, thank you

  • Nice wrap up with Bonzo... thanks for the killer tune!

  • Who know Robert Plant get sing so LOW. Love it.

  • nice ass cover, done as only the mighty zeppelin could do.

  • Yeeeaahhh is FAT !!!!

  • nice nice

  • this is SHIT

  • @BlueLeopard200

Agreed! This is THE SHIT!! Listen to that classic PAGE TONE, FUCKIN' MAGIC!!!!

  • @rjlongo

    I meant it's crap

  • @BlueLeopard200

Captain Obvious, thanks for the clarification. Please return to troll duty under your bridge.

    Love, Jimmy

  • Amazing. That was just three instruments backing up Plant and yet it sounds as full as the band Fats had. Even when the rhythm guitar drops out and Page goes into a single string solo; IT STILL SOUNDS FULL!

  • yes.

  • SIT DOWN....FATS TAKE IT BACK!!!!!

  • No way Zeppelin doing Fats. You gotta be kidding me!! Where have all these old covers come from on youtube? I have every Zeppelin album and there are none of these covers on them. Of course these are live i know that but i never knew they did so many covers live. Such a great band

  • Fantastic!

  • 6 people probably don't know what real music sounds like.

  • @synthemescthewise agreeded!!!!!!!!

  • @synthemescthewise Mybe this 6 like Fats Domino better ?!

  • @gullhjertet LOL You should be a detective, or smth

  • Respond to this video...

  • ehh even though this is Led Zeppelin, i mean a kick ass band, i rather listen to the Fats Domino version. Just my opinion

  • cool version!!!

  • some idiot actually said bad grow some ears you panzy

  • I would sure like to hear the full, uncut verion of this show

  • The boyz do it again...it think it is true Zep stuff...homage really....some may think it is horrid, but Plant displays his range....u must remember that these boys in 1970 were the New Wave and attempted anything they could musically...sometimes it didn't work....but i think this is classic Zeppelin saying 'Here We Are"....

  • Definitely not oneof their best performances, bad choice.

  • bad vocals .... fats would not b proud.!

  • i love led zepplin , but all the credit goes to fats domino that guy had soul and sung his song blueberry hill amazing.

  • @GOSSIPKINGdotnet Fats Domino did not write "Blueberry Hill".....his version is great....but the original version was Gene Autry....a Country singer in 1940

  • @Jacobrester I hate when people find a version of a song older than Zepp's version and automatically assume that person wrote it. Listen kids, its almost impossible to find out who wrote songs sometimes. Take House of the Rising Sun for instense...for years I thought The Animals wrote it- turns out i found Lead Belly's version, but i guarantee he didnt write it either. Just enjoy the tunes! P.S. sorry for the long ass comment :P

  • @thnelement Like Fade Away... Stones? No... The Dead? No... Buddy Holly! Maybe... not sure, think it goes back a little farther than that even.

  • @GOSSIPKINGdotnet

Fats Domino can not play piano or guitar like Jimmy Page ;o)

  • yeeeeeah!

  • i love this song but not this version. its all about the piano solo. no dice

  • great cover

  • Just found my thrill

  • @HendrixPrinceFlea89

I found my thrill too... its called: LED ZEPPELIN LIVE ON BLUEBERRY HILL FOR TWENTY BUCKS!!!

  • Fats Domino <3 <3 <3

Probably the best five seconds of music ever written <3

  • does anyone know the chords for this?

  • amazing.love lz take on this song.wow,thanx

  • Great recording

  • Amazing!!! ty!

  • Nice to see zeppelin appreciated the genius of Fats Domino.

  • @ModernManJohnny Of course man, they listened to Elvis to James Brown to a slew of folk guys.

  • thank you for posting :)

  • 1,38 is pure magic!

  • where i can get mp3 of this?

  • I still have my TMOQ Boot of this show, itwas releaseda few weeks after the concert and before LZ III was even out. There is also a "Rubber Dubber" version of this show, and possibly more.

  • The gods of rock.

  • Without Zep, a lot of bands would not be what they are today. They are an influence.

  • i wore this album out in the early 70's. dazed and confused especially. i drew my own picture on the cover.

i think it was pig records," the trade mark of quality"

  • i never knew plant could hit low notes like that.damn.

  • fats domino's version is better i think

  • wish i could have been there ;)

  • Man its too bad that jpj was always in the shadows of page plant and bonham he had some seroiusly ill riffs goin on. An btw My uncle has a 1969 fender jbass tricolor sunburst with the tortoise shell pickguard all og it soo pretty

  • @rorygg1 Plant was what he was.. a frontman and one of the best, he doesn't "suck", you suck.

  • @rorygg1 hahaha ...fair enough.

  • if yoiu're a frontman, by definition, you are a poser. i saw an internet poll that listed elvis as the greatest front man. they said he had no band, nuts to that i say, he had the best musicians in the world, james burton(ricky nelson), jerry scheff(doors bassist in studio)glen d hardin(emmy lou harris) ronnie tutt(drummer par excellence)jd sumner(lowest bass singer of all time). plant idolized elvis.plant at least acknowledges rock and roll roots. he loved moby grape and skip spence

  • I agree with you completly, but I think your being too much a purist. Think of Ferreri, sure Page was the engine but the body (Plant) sure does make it look good. P.S. Bonham would be the big fat tires and JPJ the transmission lol.

  • i'm an old fart who loves the 50s 60s 70s, and the great stuff that came before. 20s dixieland jazz, delta blues. and zep encompassed all those styles. i sometimes pick on zep and many of their fans take them(the band) and themselves too seriously. zep had fun and many times couldn't pull it off live, but rock and roll doesn't have to be perfect. energy and feel are more important than technique. no one ever sounded like them.plant would be amused at our discussions. he's a country singer now!!

  • Led Zeppelin is the Greatest in Rock and Roll!

    Owl

  • My favorite Fats Domino song. L.Z. did a great version.

  • Have you ever heard Blue Monday? Nothing beats that song. That shit is just as intense as it gets.

  • Good one. LIVE ON BLUEBERRY HILL was one of the first, best Zep concert bootleg recordings in circulation back in the '70's, and it still rocks. Would I have loved to hear a soundboard recording of this show! But the concert is captured in its entirety on this audience recording, and it's excellent. Fats Domino's "Blueberry Hill" is the final number of the evening. This version is great, and Jimmy lays down a perfect guitar solo. And Robert's mixed vocal style is great, too. Thank you!

  • @DDEENY jimmy page knew all that 50s rock. he just gushes when someone says ricky nelson or james burton. heard he used to carry a box ricky nelson 45s on tour. he loves fats, elvis, jerry lee, carl perkins, and the great 50s rockers

  • I love this. I wasn't a real huge zepplin but after hearing Robert plant do this. I lve them. ANy rock and roll singer that can a song like this is amazing. I read that he met Elvis and Zepplin was quiet so Elvis was about to leave when Robert plant started singing "Love me". Then I read that Elvis always had a seat waiting for one of his shows. Thats pretty cool i think

  • all other vocalists , bow down .

  • @1812Tecumseh Never!

  • @1812Tecumseh ..wow..they butchered this song..great band, but not on this song.

  • @07braves I'm a big zep fan ,but yes I have to agree not a great job on this one,it takes nothing away from them.

  • lol zeppelin is my favorite band and ive always liked this song so its awesome to hear this

  • This is a totally unbelievable version of this song. How Robert Plant tears it up when he does half way through is just amazing. Wish I'd have been able to be at a concert, but alas, born in 1973...

  • I was at this show at the Forum on my 20th birthday & it's still the very best concert I ever went to!

  • @aubnwa01

One of the best shows Zeppelin ever did!

  • @aubnwa01 U lucky bastard. What a thrill to see the Mighty Zep on your B-day.

  • @aubnwa01 i idol you

  • @aubnwa01

Damn are you so lucky..! I would give anything to have been there..!

  • @aubnwa01 u lucky bastard! we r jealous... good for u!!!

  • Pretty cool, Led doing this one. They were really good.

  • i like the music but low notes aren't exactly plants strong point, he should've just sang it in his style like he does elvis songs

  • go to bigozine2 for your Zeppelin needs!! check it out and pass it on!

  • So I guess you can sing Fats Domino or Elvis? Or would your voice just crack and squeal because you're an immature asshole?

  • @Fendergrunge you are a fag

  • WHAT CANT THEY DO ??? NOTHING!!

    (The Precious)

  • you mean hey hey what can't they do?

  • Rite on Bro... ") U said it !

  • Even Elvis respected them...they partied with him on occasions...Jimmy called him the King...

  • They met a few times but they didn't party regularly. Led Zeppelin, especially Robert Plant, loved Elvis and Robert Plant still sings Elvis' praises today.

Elvis agreed to meet after a little kid he had adopted as a penpal during his time in the army wrote him that his favorite band was Led Zeppelin. Apparently Elvis was a little wary of it, but then Plant sung the opening verse to "Love me" (Treat me like a fool...) and they hit it off and talked for hours to the chagrin of Memphis Mafia.

  • that's awesome... zeppelin with the king.....moment of silence for that line.

  • haha, i dont know about you but i have it way to loud for that!

  • What date what this performed?

  • 1970.

  • Uh, I know that. It says that in the description.
