ive made origami out of tin foil but it always tore, what's your technique to prevent that?

not really much specific technique other than just be careful to not make many sharp creases, especially not down an axis. when you get more experience, it can actually be easier to avoid tears when working with foil as opposed to paper.

i suppose it still might just be the brand, but i find most of them are about the same in terms of folding. i've used reynolds wrap and a couple of different generic brand foils and they all work pretty much the same. every once in a while I make a tear down a major axis, and once that happens it can ruin the model, but i can always trace it back to my own foolish sharp creasing.
