This is so beautiful. No singer has ever been greater than this man. When he touches a song, it's his for ever. With a voice like this,... who could. Thank you for sharing, you are doing a GREAT job finding these old treasures. From Norway: Berit
This is an amazing song!!! I remember dancing to this in clubs in the early 60s.....not the kind of song you'd dance with anyone else but the man you loved. Great voice.

Oh Wow!! I've been looking for this with Johnny singing it, thanks for the upload Cybernautev. It's not on a CD yet and no mp3 to download either. Yes, Johnny does sings this like he's thinking about a personal experience. I love his interpretation here, this was a big hit in the late 1960's for some group, don't remembr their name.
great have heard it before but not for some time well done flower, I must be one of his oldest fans . me and my wife where going out as teenagers listerning to his music, now in my 70s, saw him twice in leeds , will keep looking at your site, see he is still singing , great man
This is my favorite record of all time. The great Johnny, and no one has ever been as great as Johnny, pulls out all the stops in this heartbreaking anthem to unrequited love. Johnny always "feels" the lyrics of his songs but when he plaintively sings "Oh I've waited, but I'' wait forever for you to come to me..." he's doing a lot more than just feeling, he seems to be reliving some past experience. All I know is that I love it and get goose bumps every time I hear it. Thanks, cybernautev.
Great song, cybernautev, one can feel the 50´s and 60´s atmosphere in it. Ballads were a big thing at that time. My goodness, I´m getting really old...
Merry Christmas, please keep blessing us with those gems next year
oh yes unrequited love
