I believe that your cover was well executed. However, I felt that it was slightly overkill during the part after the chorus both times. Well done though. Boy, what I wouldn't give to have seen this song played live. Gavin would have been beast with this.

i think what really separated you from the other people applying for the scholarship was that you played well WITH FEELING. I've been looking at other videos and a lot of people actually played really well but they were almost emotionless.

Big part of musical performance is the visual aspect and you nailed it :)

@exavier091 I think the hardest part is doing Gavin Harrison justice, actually. His playing is just so accurate, relaxed, and precise that any imitation just falls short. As does mine, hehe, but it's a really fun song to play, it just grooves.

@TheFrozenTreat Hehehe, yeah, the stand was a little off, thankfully it didn't fall over! Porcupine Tree is one my favorite bands, you should really check out their "In Absentia" album. Really some of the best prog rock I've heard in a LONG time!

Nice playing man, but maybe a little to enthousiast. If you play it a little bit smaller and a little more relaxt I think it grooves more man. Just my opinion though.

Really nice interpretation of the song man! You've really got some energy and feel when you play this song. What I would be careful of though is not getting too excited and losing time with the metronome. That's where I think this song becomes hard.
