That's the danger. You CAN TEMPORARILY stave off a hangover by being drunk. That's why they say a Caesar is good hangover cure. It has 2 things you're body is craving during a hangover - alcohol and sugar. Obviously as your body gets used to being drunk all the time, that solution loses its effectiveness and ultimately he's right. The problem is, there's the illusion initially that that method of hangover cure will work indefinitely. When it doesn't you're stuck with the DTs.

@2010butchd I second that; Dan and all his supporters should join UKIP en masse immediately, putting their country first, as should all EU skeptic MPs, before it is too late. He and his supporters are in a powerful position and this radical, but necessary, action would go along way to putting matters aright and achieving what he wants. I for one would be very happy with either Dan or Nigel as Prime Minister and the other as Deputy PM. They would make a great team.
