For those who are interested,there is an earlier version of his toon made in 1937 called "Porky's Badtime Story". Gabby Goat instead of Daffy and the business is Peter Pipers Pickled Peppers instead of Fly-By-Night Aircraft.

This cartoon is included as part of the "Looney Tunes Super Stars" DVD series entitled "Daffy Duck: Frustrated Fowl", but it does contains the restored opening titles. The cartoon you see on YouTube is the "Blue Ribbon" reissued version and the end title has the "Dubbed Version" disclaimer, but the DVD version does have the real end title.

This is very similar to another cartoon episode, Daffy Duck Slept Here, where they use the same gag of spilling the water in bed, causing Porky to think he's wet the bed. Funny!

This is actually a remake of an earlier Porky Pig picture, "Porky's Badtime Story" (Clampett, 1937). Both pictures use the bed gag, later seen in "The Froze Nose Knows" at DePati- Freleng some 25 years later. And, yes, whatever happened to Gabby? Did viewers not like him or what? He made only three appearances. In what was to be his final picture, he was replaced by a cranky penguin.

That always blew my mind when Daffy Duck shoots down the moon with a freaking pilgrim musket. When I was about 10, I'd freak out and say "holy shit! Boy, he must be pissed off."

Gabby Goat was a better partner for Porky Pig tho. Gabby was even grouchier and angrier than Daffy. He looked more interesting too. Gabby was only in 3 or 4 in 1937 before they permanently retired the character.
