@fuzzyanus Well, that's a good hypotnesis, but I could come up with an expirement to see if you're right or wrong. This time, point to the wrong cup, and see what the dog do. Get it?
@fuzzyanus Oh, yeah, I just realize something, you're wrong, it's not the smell, it's the point. The guy said it about the fetch remember? So for example, if I act like I threw the ball in one direction but never let go of the ball, the dog would run to that direction, look for it, and realize it's not there. But then why didn't the dog smell the ball that it was in my hand to start off with? Balls do have a scent. But to be extra sure, you can do the expirement I mention before.
Ape can't think up a GOD. Human could think up millions then believe in only one. When I said there is none then they want to save my soul. The thought of the GOD is not different from the thought of cracking a penut :(
Bravo! This was quite an intriguing documentary. It is so obvious that we were them at a point millions of years ago; anyone denying it is just ignorantly blind and in denial due to cultural, traditional paradigms instilled in them. They should conduct experiments and see how apes do with religion. As in, if a mother ape is trained to do something stupid and ridiculous and with no point and then attempts to teach her kids that, will they steadfastedly follow and teach their kids, or abandon it?
It's funny how they mention that humans have developed culture based on impulse control and inability to focus on things that other people direct them to. It sounds like creationists on thunderf00t's comment page.
@adri041195 Either that or you responded to a comment you half read that was an inside joke about someone specific made almost 2 years ago, one of the two.
I feel like the dog could probably smell exactly where the treat was, Im not writing off their intelligence though!

@johnrainrules Looks like you don't know the definition of 'culture' or are ignoring our species' history.
