That part is correct, all politic positions should be open to attack. The controversy here is that Rush attacked Fox (could/couldn't have) and not his politics. Rush's charge that Fox was acting is interpreted by many as insult to those with Parkinson's. Especially with Rush's aggressive and almost polemic style, people are more suspect to think that.

He did so according to an interview with "Inside Edition." He purposely didn't take them before an appearance in Congress.
I feel bad for him in his condition, but he was doing this to "prove a point." His condition during his ad for Sen. McCaskill was because of overmedication.
I don't have to meet anyone with Parkinson's to analyze this situation, that's not applicable. That's an emotional appeal. In full disclosure, I do know people with Parkinson's, but it wouldn't matter anyways.

I did not ask you if you knew someone with Parkinson for the reason you think. Perhaps you looked too much into "know" thinking "know personally". Knowing someone with Parkinson's will help one know Parkinson's as it is. "Emotional appeal", at it's root diseases and disorders that affect lives and families is a completely emotional issue.
He appeared before Congress without meds to show Parkinson's as it is.

MJF has been seen MANY MANY times exhibiting his symptoms. He has actually said that when he is campaigning for funds for research, he deliberately skips his meds so that the full effect of his disease can be seen and hopefully felt in some way by those he's lobbying. Everyone has a pet cause. MJF's is Parkinsons. And maybe he wants to support a Senate candidate that cares enough to take it to DC and secure funds for the research. My Grandpa had PD. Believe me, he wasn't "faking" it.

Actually when Parkinsons goes untreated ("he went off his meds") it paralyzes the person affected by it. So why would MJF even tempt to not take his meds. I've seen other interviews with MJF in them and he does shake but sometimes its more than others, its just part of the disease. I've observed Fox behave just like that in dozens of interviews. The longest of which, was an hour long interview with "The Actor's Studio". He was actually WORSE than that, and at one point, actually had to leave the stage at one point to take a dose of his medication. I just lost alot of respect for Rush.

I will go to Dr. Rush if I get a disease. I'm in Missouri, and we have two Major Research Universities, Mizzou and Wash U, where hopefully were stem cell research will/does take place.
