  • I believe it's "Von Trapp".

  • @trinketbox1 I am sure is "Von Trapp"! Edit the video title!

  • @Sileeee56 Uh, it's not my video to "edit" as I didn't post it.

  • @trinketbox1 Not you, felixmthw must change the title! Sorry, I think I posted in a wrong place the message...

  • Love the children's "cuckoo" part :)

  • Never understood something. Captain VonTrapp was a Navy Captain in Austria?? (In the Austrian Navy??)

    Austria is landlocked.

  • @CounterCultureLives Not during WWI. It lost its port on the Adriatic after it lost.

  • @AdmiralWebb Thanks for the clarification.

  • even though u spelled vontrapp wrong, it was so beautiful when the whole audience started singing. it shows what a world it wood be if every1 got together and just sang :')

  • Hey faggot, it's vontrap.

  • @riddleman65 hey! no need to be mean! it was a mistake. gosh

  • There are very few TSoM videos with the soundtrack on Youtube, despite its great fame.; I wonder if by spelling it Bontrap, this video escaped Fox!

  • VONTRAPP! *hiding*

  • at 5:31, Fredrick is doing to Nazi sign....INAPPROPS!!!!

  • VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp VonTrapp. Not Bontrapp Not Bontrapp Not Bontrapp Not Bontrapp Not Bontrapp Not Bontrapp Not Bontrapp

  • when he chokes up during Edelweiss, it makes me want to cry

  • This is the film which marked my childhood... I can watch it and listen to its songs again and again

  • Edelweiss always give me chills.

  • you fool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    it's VonTrapp

    not Bontrap

    you fool

  • simplemente maravilloso!

  • Change. The. Title.

  • when he stops playing his guitar, the sound keeps going......FAKE AND GAY

  • It's not Bontrap, it's Von Trapp.

  • its vontrap

  • @twilightfreak9634 it's "Von Trapp". you too, spelt it wrongly.

  • @simhui89 ha wrongly isnt a word.

  • @twilightfreak9634 i don't get you.. "wrongly" is a word to describe YOUR foolishness that you yourself CANNOT admit you spell it WRONG. search Google or Bing or Yahoo or any other web-searching and you'd find out it's "Von Trapp". NOT as how YOU spell it. Others too, are admitting and convincing the video's user and others as well that it's a spelling error. Try searching for the REAL Maria Von Trapp's greatgrandchildren called "The Von Trapp Children". it's spelt that way.

  • @simhui89 ok.. i admit that i spelt von trapp wrong. so instead of shoving it in my face, keep your stupid corrections to yourself. i dont wanna hear them. ever hear of typos? yeah, they happen to everyone, so stop thinking you're some little perfect person and leave me alone. if you still think you're perfect, wake up. i admit, this user could have had a typo, too- so apology to the person who posted this vid. guess what i know that the name is VON TRAPP. i had a typo. dont respond to this.

  • @twilightfreak9634 wrongly is a word

  • And when they finish singing, and they set fire to the theater and kill all the Nazis? That part is awesome!!

  • That's "von Trapp," but okay.

  • @phililili23 You are concerned with running von Trapp together, but "Adlwise" misses your keen Internet editing? If you are going to correct people, do or do not. There is no try.

  • @algonquinrt You might want to try replying to the right person... I didn't say anything about Edelweiss (which I do know how to spell, thank you very much). I said 5 words, none of which had anything to do with the song or the flower. Also "running von Trapp together" had nothing to do with my concern. But thank you kindly for your keen attempt at correction.

  • 2:44

    MANLY TEARS

    EVERY TIME

  • This is my favorite part of the movie. Adlwise is a so touching and when Capt. Vontrapp's voice breaks and the family and audience joins in I can't help but tear up a bit.

  • @ChocaboLover, dont forget the bread! haha

  • Wonderful music, even today amongst techno, hip-hop and rap - there is still room in every music lover's heart for classic music like this.

  • All the people saying the title is spelled wrong- it was done on purpose to avoid being taken down for copyright infringement. now sit back and enjoy.

  • A beautiful and moving

  • I prefer the lonely goatherd. And u do realize its the family VON trap not Bon trap

  • I love the surprised look on Christopher Plummers/Captain von Trapps face when the kids start singing coo coo! I love this movie so much!

  • Love the audience disapproval at the announcement that the Captain is waiting to be taken to work for the Reich. Although not true to life, because they escaped early, still one of the best stories/movies ever...LOVE!!!!

  • This is an awesome movie, can someone please upload the whole thing?

  • LAUGING AT 5:55 WHEN THE GIRLS LOOKED BACK AND DASHED FOR THE EXIT...GET GONE!!

  • A beautiful melody. This is my favorite movie.

  • Why does/did Austria have a navy when they're land locked? Did he work for the German navy?

  • @Roberto7474001

    never heard about the "Anschluss"?

  • @kohalmba Kerek egy szopast! Igen? :)

  • They are not "Bontrap Family", but "von Trap Family"!!

    You are wrong!!

  • Viva Benetton!

  • I really love the way people dress up before. People of my generation dress up so indecent. People these days do not know how to dress up.

  • Who is this mysterious 'Bontrap' family you speak of?

  • I CAN'T stop listening to this!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • LOVE THIS!! <3

  • I dare some one to go to Austria and sing Edelweiss and see how many people join in

  • @TheFoxSummoner probably nobody. i am from austria, and, believe it or not, this movie is virtually unknown in austria. MAYBE you'll find some people who know the song, but of course they will know the original german, not the english lyrics.

  • @jk31337 eh...well it was worth a shot...

  • It's VonTrapp.......

  • Bontrap?? LOL!

  • I LOVE this movie! :D

  • 2:52 i whanted to cry because this was last time seeing thare frinds

  • i love this screen .... in fact.. i love the whole movie

  • Actually it's Von Trapp!!

  • I always laugh @ 5:58 because they are the only one make a MAD DASH!!!! LOL!!!!

  • it's amazing that you can make a decent song about tea and jam :D i love this movie

  • that high note that julie hits at the end. probably the most beautuful thung i have ever heard

  • JAM AND BREAD, TEA WITH JAM AND BREAD. JAM AND BREAD, TEA WITH JAM, JAM AND BREAD!

  • wow...how times have changed. back then, even the nazis were gentlemanly enogh to allow captain one trap to sing before lugging him off. Would that happen today? If teh SAS were sent to arrest some guy, my ASS they'd even listen to him if he begged to be allowed inside to kiss his wife goodbye, let alone give him awholle hour to sing at some reality show. nope, they'd just kick him in the balls if he opened his mouth, then throw him into a blue n white and drive off....sigh...good ole days

  • @LankanTVPresenter Dear David, That's simple, there were far fewer radios, around in those days and so folk liked (live) music concerts, by comparison, much much more than now-a-days. . To make a better comparison would need you to say that the SAS (what ever that is; is it, The Salvation Army?), were to switch off You-Tube world-wide. . Read more books. . . Cheers. from, del-boy.
  • @LankanTVPresenter They permitted him to sing, because he was an Arian and belonged to a traditional renown noble Austrian family (as the story tells). + he was not being "arrested", but he was supposed to join the German Army as one of its officiers. So there is nothing strange about letting him sing those songs + the music festival was good propaganda for the nazi-government (and that is why he did not want to participare in the beginning)

  • @LankanTVPresenter They actually weren't going to let him sing, but during this time the Nazis were trying to convince everyone in Austria that "nothing has changed" to prevent an uproar. So Captain VonTrapp convinced them by saying "you said that nothing would change in Austria". Thus, making them hypocrites if they didn't let them sing. Basically they used the Nazi's words against themselves.

  • GOOSEBUMPS !!!!!! every time i hear that xxxx

  • its vontrap you idiot

  • @willynilly42897 b is next to v on keyboard hahah i laughed though

  • @willynilly42897 It's Von Trapp you idiot.

  • The Austrians and Garmans are wonderful marvelous people. I wish Germans would kow they've been slandered, lied to, abused, duped, and murdered, by the monstrousblood drenched hoax perpetuated by Zionist devils. Awaken, good Aryans!

  • they really like their jam and bread..

  • not to be rude but it's the family Von-trap

  • Tea with jam WITH JAM WITH JAM

    AND

    BREEEEEAAAAAAAADD!!!!!!!!!

    Gotta love that part

  • Why can't Americans get over the second World War we in Britain have, and yet the Germans bombed our shores daily. Do you even remember the War? You make a meal out of everything Vietnam 9/11 we were bombed all the time by the I.R.A we never felt safe, Bars were blown up Bookmakers shops.

Holding Grudges make you weak and eaten away with hate. You will lose your allies.

  • @chrisoates1001

because Germany confessed her crimes, but japan didn't , don't.

    right now:

jp is building the 2nd 20k tons aircraft carrier (for F35s) in spite of its Constitution and its emperor's promise,

jp is publishing textbooks for children saying invasion in ww2 was nothing wrong.

jp is making paramilitary conflicts with russia, s.korea and china frequently.

many japanese worship their war criminals today.

    that's why.

could you Britsh allow any german do something like that???

  • @ohmyholymothergod Israel needs to confess to Israeli crimes. Israel is the source of crime

  • @ThusSpakeDenise

perhaps israel is the soucre of crime, i don't know them much.

but i'm really sure that japan is generating crimes, right now.

  • @ohmyholymothergod WE DIDNT!

  • @ohmyholymothergod replied to the wrong person, soz

  • I just love that part when they all together sing "Edelweiss"... I always cry on that part of movie... :( ♥

  • i hate to correct your spelling @felixmthw but its vontrab not bontrap

  • @hometree27 Its Von Trapp....

  • AHHHHHHH!!! Im in love with Christopher Plummer.

  • von Trapp never Bontrap!!!!!!!!!

  • My favorite part of the movie and musical.

  • When the Captain gets choked up, I get emotional too. You can feel his love for his country and family and it is BEAUTIFUL. Christopher Plummer is unbelievable.

  • and they arn't germans bur austrians...and whats wrong with germans??? we live in 2011, not in 1940...

  • ever seen that flower ???

  • it's the VON TRAPP family...whats the problem...the music perhaps ???

  • Awesome

  • When everyone joins in, it's amazing :)

  • In a single song, Plummer expresses everything Captain Ritter von Trapp is feeling at this point. Excellent writers, great acting, and a very emotional scene, never to see its like in this lifetime.

    Thank you for uploading.

  • their last name is VonTrapp no Bontrap

  • @K2Pqa

Yeah, there are more things you don't understand.

Do you know many japanese enshrine war criminals, today in public, include most prime ministers?

Do you know japan's high school textbooks deny the history of invasion, and depict that as just "pass in and out" other countries in asia?

Do you know PM. Eisaku Sato, Nobel Peace prize winner due to "Three Non-Nuclear Principles", was recognized by japan gov in 2009, that he cheated the world and introduced nuclear warheads to japan?

  • @ohmyholymothergod so true

    you go!

  • @K2Pqa

    And...

Do you know janpan did not give Okinawa Islands back to Okinawans as agreed after WW2?

Oh. you may not like history.

    That's fine...

Do you know japan dumped massive amount of radiative poluted water in to the ocean a month ago, regardless of other countries' objections.

And at the same time, there was a japanese saying he could not sing wtf fork song because of the "Martial Laws"???

wtf explaination he made? why did he/she want to insult the Austrians and our wisdoms?

  • @ohmyholymothergod You mean over the objections of the United States, who has used our oceans for a dumping ground for years and continue doing so, in spite of the lies Americans may or may not want to believe?

Polinting fingers is fine, as long as it is remembered that no nation is either pure or has the monopoly on evil.

  • @williamskidfears

that's totally different matter. what U.S. did are also wrong.

However, there are people who would admit mistakes like you,

but there are always bad guys from Japan advocating evil thought.

such as what he said about "Martial Laws", they never think why and what cause that.

"no nation is either pure"? could you imagine that all kids at school in Japan read textbooks saying Japan army was "Just In & Out other countries in WW2" and are not know why U.S. drop A-bomb?

  • it made me very sad to see the caracter just fade and shut up because he was dissapointed ... dissapointed of his people.... i don't know if history will turn out allright ...but its something to fight for

  • @themariusnos They do join in song, to the exasperation of the Nazi assclowns sitting in the audience. Ultimately, Ritter von Trapp and his family express their loss over what was, as well as the hope that things will turn out okay.

  • @williamskidfears That's the moment in the film that brings tears to my eyes. And hope to my heart as not everyone just went along with what was happening. Even the smallest act of defiance in the face of evil is worthwhile, It gives the message...."there is hope"

  • at darkshojogirl:

I don't talk to rude people who have a shallow mind.

you could study history about nazi and japan(past and nowadays), then you may speak.

    -

oh, if you don't like what i said about the Dolphin Sushi,

you could just join them, the japanese murders:

    (youtube) watch?v= nzXbt0YZt0k

(watch that video, if you were 18)

  • the Jews disliked this video

  • when everyone starts singing edelweiss it gives me goosebumps!!

  • I love this song!!!

  • @ohmyholymothergod CAN WE STOP FIGHTING AND LISTEN TO THE MUSIC?!

  • @iluvmusicalmuffins14

okay, let us listen to this great music...

    jam & bread & shrimps & sushi...

    shrimps or radiative poluted shrimps

    sushi or dolphin sushi...

and more truth you didn't know or just don't wanna know.

plz close your eyes and listen to this great music.

have a good day, my fellow.

  • @lostota

    martial law? that's totally enough!

we americans protect your country for over 50 years, let you develop your economy!

do not compare what shit flower of yours with edelweiss, doing that will remind us Hilter and his SS, shame on you!

(music) shame on you! on you! and you and you and yo~u!

  • @lostota really? I thought it meant a bunch of nips that flew planes into buildings and ships... WAIT A DARN MINUTE

  • von trapp is better ?

  • alot of emphasis on the "tea with jam and bread"

wonder if they like tea with jam and bread?

  • Love this song. In my opinion it's kind of the turning point of the movie :) LOVE IT. And yes it's definitely Von Trapp.

  • how to make a grown man cry...i used to sing this to my daughter. i know its just a movie, but plummer did an excellent job and turning a lullaby into an act of defiance in this scene. and ive actually read that he was reluctant to do the film because of the old showbiz adage of working with children...

  • @Putaspellonyou My dad used to sing this to me too. :_)

  • @ohgidgetz lucky!

  • its von Trapp

  • Bontrap? ROR (raf out roud)

  • When the audience starts to sing along it always makes me cry. I absolutely adore this movie.

  • @rissajewell Watch closely, you can see one of the Nazi's singing the song too.

  • it's def Vontrap

  • hitler loved edelweiss ...after it was small and white ,clean(?) and bright ... just like der fuhrer's diiiiiick!

  • @xtrmsprts

did you know that the last test in the training for German paratroopers was to climb to the peak of a mountain in the Alps, retrieve an edelweiss flower, and return it to their CO

  • @Ringlord3434 Is this true? Interesting!

  • Love this film. BTW...they are called 'Vontrap' not Bontrap! lol

  • @CasaCoco1 Actually it's Von Trapp, but hey who's arguing?

  • @losee12792 Actually, 20th Century Fox... Put Von Trapp and the video disappears!

  • @losee12792

Attention Seeker, wanting folk to write to him; about anything !

  • @CasaCoco1 Because of 20th Century Fox... Put Von Trapp and the video disappears!

  • Edelweiss, a beautiful song that touches everyone who has lost his homeland, like me. It is sad to leave your country and know you might return someday, but it will never be like it was before you left. This song is a tribute to all of us.

  • Its Von Trapp... xD

  • @GoodbyeOswald i was just about to say the same thing lol

  • this is awesome! but it's vontrap ;)

  • @madyxxhannahx8 hey lyna xD and yes it is awesome!
