Hey i have this 1018 in silver, it was an upgrade of my 1017, but dont u think its silly putting all the logos on top of the receiver ? THX - neural THX etc its all on top of the amp which i find stoopid! my old 1017 had all the logos on the front of the amp , i like my 1018 but the front panel looks kinda bare without the logos on the front fascia, i dunno why pioneer thought of this! what do u think |?

yea seeing the logos in front makes some receivers look kool,But i dont have the 1018 anymore either and not even the little speakers.I have the Definitive BP8B with the Marantz SR5003

I have the 1 up on the 1018 the VSX-01TXH Pioneer Elite. I had the 1018 for a few days but it was nothing like the VSX-01TXH that I went to. Way better clarity, and all around better sounding. Don't get me wrong the 1018 is a great budget reciever, I just wanted a little something more.

@ChrisHoyt I have the same reciever too and yes it is better. Im still using it even though it's not 3D capable. I think. I haven't tried running a 3D feed through it yet. After going through the MCACC calibration via the microphone, I further adjusted my settings to:

Fronts: -2 built in subs (BP7004's) at the 11o'clock position.

Center: -1

Surrounds: -1 They're close to my listening position.

how do you make the receiver use the sub for 2.0 music sources? Mine won't feed to the sub unless the source has a .1

Its not a second tv its my computer monitor,i just slide my desk chair near it and use it when i need to..i also have the computer set up to both screens at the same time
